  1. Looking great Mike, you are truckin' at full speed! Awesome progress. The rust you have is typical, but not bad, I have seen way worse! Yasin
  2. Where in the Rocky Mountains are you located? I am in Colorado Springs. I have a low windshield model like yourself (mine is a '67). I am not sure how you plan to stuff a Small Block V8, RB26 or VG30DETT into the tiny engine bay of a Roadster...I guess anything is possible. To put a clutch on the stock car, requires pulling the engine as the tranny will not come out by itself...these cars are very tightly packaged - which I am sure you know. I have attended the largest Roadster show in the US, which is in Solvang, CA every year (last weekend in April) and I have seen the Buick 3.5L V8 swapped in a Roadster, if I find a pic I will post it. The RB is VERY long, and the VG30DETT is VERY wide. Over on 311s.org there are a few interesting swaps such as: 1) Turbo KA24 2) Turbo Miata 3) A few SR20 Turbo swaps You should check it out...this is my good friend Mike Spreadbury's most recent work..it is probably one the most beautiful swaps I have seen in any car...350whp in this 1900lb is plain frightening. As you can see the turbo SR20 is a pretty tight fit itself. My car is running great on the old pushrod R16 for the moment, so I am going to stay with my stock 96hp. I just serviced the SU carbs this week and continues to run fantastic. Good luck with your restoration! Yasin
  3. Many thanks!! John - I am really stoked to see what this bad boy is going to do. James Thagard really recommended this turbo. Not at all! Regards - Yasin
  4. Mine also bleeds down quickly but have never had a problem re-starting, I usually let it cycle for a second or two (get up to pressure) before actually firing up the car. Yasin
  5. I hear you! And my sentiments exactly. So have shown your fellow Rennlisters your newly acquired sweetie? I sis not realize you were in Buffalo. I used to hang out and drive through there a fair bit, when I lived in Toronto. Regards - Yasin
  6. I agree with Z-Gad, I have been running my Walbro GSL392 since 2004 and it has been flawless. It is very quiet and the fit is perfect for our cars. Yasin
  7. With thr right wheels and suspension, that will be THE best 510 wagon in this country. I $hit you not. Yasin
  8. I have one, that you can have for free. Send me your address I'll pop it into the mail for you tomorrow. Regards - Yasin
  9. I agree with everyone's feedback on your cam selection Phil. Too radical for the street. I am using Web Cam's Turbo grind for my L30ET, I did alot of research before my final selection. This Web cam (which is a brand new billet) does not have alot of duration but 488 of lift, which is what you want, keep those valves opened longer for the forced air to make it through for a longer combustion reaction. Turbo cars need more lift and not so much duration. Yasin
  10. The Electromotive cars had completely different combustions chamber designs that were re-shaped, re-welded and had many many hours of skilled work, massive valves, porting and polishing that humbled the best builders and not to mention a very custom cam. Granted on the outside thy looked like a "normal" SOHC head, on the inside they were a much different beast. Yasin
  11. Congrats & Welcome...I know you from Rennlist. We had a heated but friendly discussion a year ago (maybe more) - not sure if you remember. That is a great car, glad you saw the light. These are great cars, very rewarding to drive and modify. Beautiful to look at and be prepared to get lots of thumbs up and "I had a friend" stories... Regards - Yasin
  12. I agree that is one sexxxy beast.
  13. Wow...that IS FAMILY...sounds like a Country song. Yasin
  14. Holy$hit Rick, that is one sick IS! The HRE wheels alone are worth $4500! Let alone the turbo conversion...I'm loving it - hugely! Yasin
  15. Beautiful and stunning as always Mark. 620whp at 24psi must feel incredible. Where did you source your aluminum lower control arms? Yasin
  16. 8.3:1 CR with OEM cast pistons and 15psi...better hope that motor is tuned to an inch of its life. eManage and full stand alone EMS are worlds apart.... Yasin
  17. Joe - Perfect! I heard very good things about that GM EOS. Thanks to all. Yasin
  18. Thanks guys! 1 Fast Z and Joe how much did your clutches run you? Regards - Yasin
  19. Without a doubt...1 Fast Z's One Off Twin Cam Head design, engineering, development and actual fabrication. The entire project from cradle to grave. Yasin
  20. Guys - I would like to order a clutch for my 400hp L30ET and what are your personal recommendations? I did a quick search and it seems like many of you favor Clutch Specialties, should I just go this route? This is for a street car and so I am looking for driveability without a leg press workout Many Thanks! Yasin
  21. John - Thanks!! I am running this exact turbo: http://www.speedshopthagard.com/garrett/T3601.html I paid extra for the 360degree thrust bearings and Stage 5 Wheel. The compressor wheel is "60Trim". Thanks for the tips on the fuel injectors, I also running 550cc (or will be after break in). I will be running a stock crank pulley until I go to my Haltech and then I am considering options for ignition... Regards - Yasin Many thanks to all! Yasin
  22. Its 1:03am...I got the engine in tonight...what a struggle that was... Got the aluminum rad mounted and the electric fans as well.
  23. Gang - With all the Zinc free oils out there, I am hearing that the best oil to use for break-in especially to "save" the camshaft is Shell's Rotella T...but which one do you guys recommend? As there are quite a few different blends (not including the Synthetic blends): 1) 15W40 Multigrade Heavy Duty -triple Protection -or- 2) 15W40 Multigrade Heavy Duty -or- 3) Straight Rotella T SAE 30 Singlegrade (story don't have a pic) I am also considering buying this from Crane: Its their Super lube break-in: http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browseParts&lvl=2&prt=15&action=partSpec&partNumber=99003-1 Any other thoughts? Thanks & Regards - Yasin
