  1. Hugh - ManyThanks! I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Drop me a line when you start running your manifold and putting some runs on it. My very best - Yasin
  2. Wow fantastic Ad...! I kept playing it over and over, music is awesome too! Yasin
  3. ArnZ - Thanks! That engine is the result of collecting parts starting back in 2002! Yes..believe it or not, I knew at some stage I was going to build a fire breathing L motor so started buying parts here and there over the years. I did get a good deal on the engine assembly as the machine shop owner and myself have become good friends. Yasin
  4. I was worried with putting my fittings and runing hoses underneath so close to the extreme heat of the Turbo so I ended up drilling and tapping the top and side sections, I hope you are OK down the road... Looks great though. Here is mine: Yasin
  5. So who are the 5 people who have spent between $30-$40K on their cars? Yasin

  7. Guy - Getting closer and closer! January 2008 will be a good month! But yup still stock and slow! LOL! Yasin
  8. Cool stuff Gabe! Glad Austin's engine is going to live on in your car! Yasin
  9. Here are some pics of my stock 150whp 280ZX...its *really* slow, handles horribly and has terrible brakes... Yasin
  10. Good read. I am a big fan of European engines and this would make a neat conversion in a Z, but I really think a turbocharged BMW straight six would be sizzling hot. Alos Mercedes Engines are the same price and similar power and same reliability, similar size, weights etc so that is another consideration. Mercedes build better V8s than BMW in my opinion. And my three favorite letters are "AMG"...wink! Yasin
  11. Your pictures are not really all that good, can you snap some overall pics of the car to give you the best determination of overall condition. The rusty framerail is very typical for these cars and can easily and inexpensively have a new section "spliced-in". Yasin
  12. Hahahaaa...I was going to buy that car...it is the white one, black hood with the poor roof that has been cut-up! If you got it for a 1000bux...you got a deal that is smoldering hot! Yasin
  13. Looks like my ex- without make-up
  14. Frank - I guess you are forgetting about me, JeffP, Afshin and (I forget his username in Texas) that all have really fast, ultra clean and highly modified 280ZX Turbos. My car was featured in Nissan Sport when it was putting down just over 250whp, front and real coilovers, all urethane suspension, big sway bars , Corbeau seats etc etc. My new L30ET turbo will be making close to double that...I have alot of interesting threads on my build here on Hybridz. As a contradiction my S30 is my around town, rough looking, beat-up car. Yasin
  15. Last time I checked "swapping" a roof was a little more involved that you think.
  16. I would have bought this car this morning, if the roof has not been hacked up with some awful T-Tops installed a few decades ago! The price is excellent $1500 for a running L28ET powered 280Z. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/505968035.html Yasin
  17. In an effort to keep this site professional and enjoyable to those who actually positively contribute, can the Admins do something about these "other" members who post absolute distasteful and disrespectful remarks? Regards - Yasin
  18. Sounds familiar! Tuning in to see how things come together (stay together!)
  19. Good thread. I have had a FedEx commercial account for about 5years and a very good friend of mine used to be a delivery driver in LA and the put himself through college and is now a senior programmer with FedEx. Everything on your post he will agree 101% with, he has some crazy stories from his driving days. Yasin
  20. I want to know what happened to the M3 that it "just stopped"...not great advertising for the Ultimate Driving Machine! Yasin
  21. Very ingenious! And I will like to hear the feddback on the differences it does make. My only changes would be to make the plenum larger. And I assume you are changing over to a cable throttle? Keep the pics and progress coming. Yasin
