  1. Scottie I believe I have some from an 82 turbo. I'll give them to you for free. I don't recall the condition. I work in Maitland so if you want to meet me out that way one day next week I'll give them to you. I've got to find them if you want them. Also, there was an 81 or 82 ZX in the LKQ JY last weekend on East 50. Right off the 417 and 50. 9205 East Colonial Drive Orlando, FL 32817-4108 (407) 273-0601
  2. I would highly recommend going to Harbor Frieght and buy there cheap fuel injector test kit: http://www.harborfreight.com/fuel-injection-pump-tester-92699.html It has that silver fitting that you can install inline and leave. I believe you have fuel starvation as stated above. I had similar symptoms but backfiring through intake as well. This way as it is acting up you can look at the gauge and confirm you pressure at any given point. I was guessing and guessing and was quite relieved when I determined the problem. Oh and you may have chunks of rust floating around in your tank pluging up the line as well. I had this problem too.
  3. Just the opposite here in FL. Heat we can do with out, but A/C yikes, it is very difficult. Then add our friendly exhaust fumes into the mix and it gets worse.
  4. goodoldjam Curious to why you mounted your BOV right off the Turbo as you did?
  5. Tony, I'm curious to see where cost comes in at this? From the research I've done it's close to $1200 for a decent head job? Is the head job more cost effective in the long run in comparison to an intercooler and some piping with more boost?
  6. Thanks all! I picked up a new front Air dam for $50 today. She will fit perfect!
  7. Hey FYI. I was at the LKQ JY today on east 50 and they had a turbo Shelby. Little earlier body style but not sure if you needed any additional parts for your current car.
  8. Was getting ready to tell you about NAPA also. My buddy over here in Orlando is going through this too. He found it at NAPA as well. http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/BWRearSeal.htm
  9. I bought myself a new project, early 74 260z for my Birthday, 41. I got this local from a member here who doesn't post much. I think he got it from a member here as well. The car came from IL. She is pretty clean as far as I can tell. Minimal rust and the floors have been redone already. I'm tucking her in the garage for awhile until I get my 78 going first. I couldn't pass her up. She has a stock Turbo swap that was horribly done as well. I've been trying to get this car since back in May!
  10. Location? Please update your profile.
  11. I offered $30 on this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260656667717&ssPageName=ADME:B:BOC:MOTORS:1123 Is it anyones here? My second offer is $35.
  12. What are you looking to spend? Also you want to pay for shipping? I see them in the JY all the time.
  13. Very nice. You like switches I can see
  14. I am looking for an original NISSAN FSM. No Haynes and must be for a 78. I know I can get them free and look at them Online from Xenon, but I'm getting tired of holding my laptop in crazy directions to read the wiring diagrams. Plus it's not all that clear.
  15. Did you see Pallnet sells 6 new for $30? http://pallnet.webs.com/products.htm Scroll down the page.
  16. Sell it on ebay and take the profits and buy more parts.
  17. I just went through Phase I of my cleaning. It is a tremendous amount of work. I'm shocked the car even ran. The amount of rust was staggering. I found a method of filling 1/2 the tank with water, add a gallon of muratic acid and then the rest with water. It did a great job, but I need to do it again. It still has a bunch of rust left. I flushed and flushed and flushed, shook and shook and shook. I was sore the next day. I used golf balls to brake up the rust. I would not do it again. I finally had to use a vacuum to get them out. (I know, I know no vaccums). I bought a 9.99 hair dryer from walgreens and tapped it to the tank. I ran the sucker for at least an hour and it didn't blow up! (Hair dryer, not the tank.) I've got the tank in the house now in the cool a/c. Wife is not all that happy about it.
  18. Yes they are. I'll have to do it tomorrow night.
  19. Hey Scottie, I know you solved your tank issue, but I found a radiator shop today who does do tank cleaning. I'm not about to spend $350 on a tank for $750 car but they do perform the service. Maybe a simple boil down is cheaper. Anyway, if you want the number let me know.
