  1. 75mm borg-warner S400. has a really wide compressor map due to the extended tip compressor wheel technology. The turbine is split scroll 1.32 a/r T6 flows a ton I really dont know what HP to expect and when it will spool with the 6 speed..? might not even spool first couple gears! a member on here dustin280zx made 500Whp @5 psi boost.. similar setup but he has big ported heads and big cam. Im going to see what i can do with stock unported heads
  2. BFMS C . begining of last year BFMS "c" record was 189 mph. I recently checked and it was just over 220 mph! damn! Im probably not going to make bonneville this year unless i find 5 grand somehow to finish the car but its coming along. hopefully i can make the last el mirage meet towards the end of the year.. most current pic cheers, andy
  3. For those that have not seen this in the fabrication thread, finally im making some progress on getting this thing going. . . . . . . .
  4. haha, how much do you want for it? lol . Theres a guy who runs two of these turbos in diesel truck with compound setup he makes 100 psi... pretty wild i dont intend to go over 20 psi but well see:flamedevi Well i just mounted the turbo in the car w/ with mockup block still in it and it sits pretty high DOH LOL well its what i expected... i tryed to leave room for the radiator. . . . .
  5. Finished welding the crossover/merge piping. . . . . . i may have gotten a little overly creative with the mount structure kinda just had to work with what i had lol
  6. im going land speed racing so weight isint an issue, actually more the better... and im looking @500-800hp so it wouldnt slow me down ..lol
  7. good for track? filled with ice/water with a re-circ pump.. this IC is the 4" core big one. 150qt icechest. i might go ahead and try this, it will be properly secured and all that. . . .
  8. turbo mount and crossover piping tacked up . . . . . . . . heres a die i made to fit 2.5" x060 wall tubing to t3 flange seen above... looks like alum in the pic but it is steel. . I wanted to make a "split pulse" setup but figured the gain would not be worth the trouble of dealing with two wastegates or connecting each bank with a Y pipe to single WG.
  9. i drilled a taped the drivers WP outlet for 1/8 npt and use a 90* barb that connects to the vent to extract the air, works like a charm
  10. grumpy im converting my 350ci sbc to Turbocharged MPFI useing these parts The goal is 700hp . Whats the rule of thumb when choosing throttle body size? The intake elbow opening is 90mm should i just get a 90mm tb to put on there? Will a 90mm tb support 700hp? You know i just realized i need to look at the cfm my engine requires vs the flow of a 90mm tb! any input on would be great tho. thank grumpy
  11. since all the tubing slips over one another i was just going to use t-bolt clamps on all the slip fits.. i think it should flex pretty good? time will tell. hopefully the aluminized tubing holds upto the heat. also i have two 5" vbands to install on the section taht covers the valve cover. I will be able to remove the piping for valve adjustments. andy
  12. 90% of guys reduce the 5" to 4" so i try to be diffrent, it should flow pretty well also.. Im thinking there will be some vacume effect pulling the gas's out at high speed?
  13. some mockup of the 5" dp, just sitting in there for ref. . .
  14. Hey rob i love your car man, that thing is a beast! I've heard others mention a 170mph limit also... I think once the belly pan and rear diffuser is installed ill have better luck pushing that barrier. I know its going to want to spin real bad @ 150+. I'm just going to creep up on it little by little. andy
  15. I like this rendering more pic's/info here http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1717671
  16. Little update, progress is slow but it is progress.. Heres the the 6 speed trans mount, might redo the mount plates to be horizontal for added ground clearance if its a issue.. one good feature of this is the plates are tilted 10 degrees towards each other for easy removal and install. I finally got the car to my new house so progress should pick up:icon14: sorry for the x-large pic's WEIR's bellhousing sure does sit low!
  17. any prices on those headers? looks like they'll fit a z car well
  18. Well, going to el mirage and bonneville (5" wide tire) to run the car and occasional street. Def will not "hook" lol I do have a 285/35-18 tire for the street but im sure it will spin'em running stock r200 diff now.. going q45 when the time comes. andy
  19. the turbo im using has a 75mm comp wheel and someone made 1080hp with it.. flows 98lb min. im guessing yours flows more or less the same... whats the turbine outlet size? 5"?
  20. i have seen people use 4309 on FI cars on theturboforums.com
  21. That thing is big!, i like the housing clamp design. holset?
  22. I knew you knew better to use slowmasters on a turbo car.
