  1. Ill sell you the harness and fuel rail..
  2. MJLAMBERSON has a L28et! He shouldnt put twice pipes on his motor. It would probably sound like crap and be of no benefit. Thats what I was talking about not knuckleduster.
  3. Looks spendy. Id say just get an ecotec or whatever the new turbo/supercharged 4 cyl are and make it a mid engine.
  4. Where has everyone put them? Ive heard of magnetic drain plugs but havent seen any. Should the magnet be in the front or back to be most affective? Or around the oil pickup? Thanks
  5. http://forums.hybridz.org/member.php?u=14819 How about "Im so creative!!"
  6. Can anyne else help with this. If the external wastegate will be easier to maintain and use at 12psi Ill go ahead and spend the money, but if its going to be a hassle Id rather just go with all the internal wastegate parts I have. Thanks
  7. Get out a grinding wheel and cut off wheel and go to town. It takes for ever to get it down to the right shape but it gets the job done.
  8. Your wanting to vent it to the turbo intake rather than to the atmosphere, correct? Ill go check my BOV to see what the outlet is.
  9. Im not sure what you mean by "the proper outlet to go on the inlet". The BOV goes in between the turbo and the TB. Not on the inlet.
  10. Yeah I cant think of anything that would be easier to make as a first "custom" fabrication project, to bad my 280z doesnt have these. Like always, great quality stuff MONZTER, I wish I had all the tools you have.
  11. Why would you put a set of twice pipes on a turbo motor... you wont get the same sound with a turbo. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEC09/15-6030 If you look, its seems that it might fit.
  12. Well Im going to go ahead and go throught the suspension before I license and insure it and get it on the road. Ill probably get the HP's at the end of the week and start tearing into next week. Sadly I leave in two weeks so I wont get to work on it for those 2 weeks.
  13. You have any pictures? Thats what I thought the problem was once I thought about it. Where did you buy the turbo from?
  14. Ive got an entire wastegate set off my stock t3. Im hoping to get a few more opinions on if I should use it in my other thread but If I dont use it Ill give you first dibs. Maybe you can try to modify yours and if it doesnt work you have a spare. Im not exactly sure of what your problem is or if you have the original one.. but thought Id throw it out there.
  15. Search more... the Konig netz and imagine are cool.
  16. What do you mean bracket, as in the spacer austin makes or a transmission mount? If you had stayed with your ls7 swap this would be alot easier I assume.
  17. Yeah there is a huge gap in prices for a running car and a non running car in the same condition. Get it running then decide, (youll want to keep it).
  18. Is washington to far? Ive got a 260 2+2 that needs a new home.
  19. Another concern was at what point would the this style external be inefficient? Down the road if I was to increase the boost over 12 Id probably upgrade to the t3/t4 so I could still use this setup (same exhaust housing) but have a bit more efficient intake side for higher boost. Does that sound reasonable? Heres the wastegate I was looking at, I havent got an email back yet. http://spokane.craigslist.org/pts/739695186.html
  20. Ive followed people being pulled over for a few blocks. They know the cop is there so theyll slow down and drive for a few blocks till they hit a parking lot and then pull in. I bet cops love that.
  21. Hey I got a great deal on this SS downpipe for the stock t3. Its made to bolt up to the stock turbo with the wastegate housing removed. As of now Id just have to find an external wastegate, which I could pick up for around $120-150 locally used. My other option is to just use the stock internal wastegate. I have all the parts needed and ready to go. My question is should I stay with the external and the above downpipe or just use the stock internal wastegate. From my research Ive found the above setup will start to cause boost creap at higher boost because of the size of the opening on the turbo. My motor will only be running around 12 psi, and if I ever wanted to go higher Id move to a different turbo (different downpipe). Im assuming 12 psi wont be to high of boost for this to be efficient, but is it worth the money (cost of wastegate) to have a externally wastegated system? So ultimately, I have the money to get a external wastegate but it would just mean it will take a bit longer to get the motor in the car. Is sit worth it, or should I just sell the downpipe and make a few bucks? Thanks!
