The WORLD'S most retarded Z EVER!!! PIC inside!!!
Datsun350Z replied to OlderThanMe's topic in Non Tech Board
LMAO! At least it's easy to work on. Zero clearance issues. -
Someone should let him know that inventors dying in their own creations isn't exactly a selling point... Plus it's not art, so it doesn't raise the value. Aside from that it does actually look like a pretty good deal.

paint schemes...urban, patina, camo...pics, ideas

Veritech, I Love that miata. I want one, how much for stencils? Maybe work a few of the blotches to just barely look like 2, 4, 0, and Z. Not all of them, just a few that would only be noticed if pointed out, or studied for a while. -
NICE hybrid not a Z but still.. NIIIIIIIICE

Was that spinning through 4th gear??? wow. -
When Redneck Knievel needs beer money...

a miata is the missing link between past and present??? Edit: It's above $7,000 ??? WTF?

Are they Really that light???? I might have to re-think a VW dune buggy project if that's the case. I knew about the subaru motors being a sick swap, which is awesome compared to the porsche power alternative. I might have to trade the new 300zx for a dune buggy...

Nice control... I was about to laugh it off after the first lap or two, but he pulled it together pretty quickly, and kept it sideways for multiple laps... Not bad for a car that obviously wasn't designed to do anything like that. Would be really cool to see a vw based dune buggy do that.

My $1.98 gas was bought at a citgo, and the mobil down the road was the same price. The one seriously only 1/4 mile away (you can see the signs from each other's pumps) in Ny state was $2.59 for regular.

How good of a shot are you at 100 yards?

Nice... not bad for a first time. My Ar-15 is broken... it decides itself whether it wants to shoot off 1 round, 3, 7, or empty the full clip. Fun, but then I realized how dangerous it actually is and stopped shooting it until I get it fixed. -
Yes... Finally paid less than $2 a Gallon for gas. Regular unleaded, but in a subaru station wagon that's ok by me. Anyone else closing in on the long since forgotten $2 Mark?

Well yeah, what else is there to do after you lose all of your dignity by driving a honda (and thinking it's cool)? Sources: (Ex honda owner... 92 Civic coupe LS motor swap: Quick... But Not Cool)

Nice work. Keep the progress coming. You kinda look like tom green in the last pic... -
My buddy's legs are the question. The 240z hasn't made much progress lately... I gave my friend a set of 18" rims (Brand new only 20 miles on them)for his civic with the condition that he: 1.) Finish the bodywork on my Z. (Mold the wide front fenders, and finish paint prep on it) 2.) Give me $400 for the wheels as soon as he can. (I cut 200 off what I was going to sell them for, and $600 off what they cost me) So far I riveted the fenders on, and he slapped some long hair fiberglass on one of them, hasn't sanded it or anything yet. And I have $0 from him... Now it's 4 weeks later i'm getting upset. The original deal was that he do the bodywork for me, and when it was done he could have the wheels (as I knew this is what would happen). using the bodywork as a sort of downpayment for the wheels. He took the wheels from my house without me knowing, and later said he "misunderstood" me, even though I made it perfectly clear he was ok to take the AFTER the bodywork was complete. I let that slide, as he was driving on a spare that was showing threads, but now i'm wishing I didn't because he hasn't touched the car since the wheels left my house. I know a $200 discount is cheap for the bodywork, but he was animate about the fact that he would do it for free for me before he needed wheels, then when he needed wheels so he wouldn't crash and burn I decided I should chop some $ off my bottom end on the wheels for him, and give him time to pay it. Solutions? Comments? Edit: Picture of offender added.

Hey! that's a good point... now I won't have to decide whether to stay home, or feel like a tool driving that green station wagon in the background. Are you trying to set up a fall meet by any chance? Hmm I should post about the progress of the Z... to see if a baseball bat is in order.

I think it would be funny to see a 'cuda do a FWD burnout at the strip... Plenty of confused faces all around

It would be nice... anyone have a big shoehorn?

Ha! talk about Anti performance... If it takes exhaust to push it out that must be a decent amount of restriction. Wow... This is all Pimp my ride's fault. Damn you pimp my ride, Damn you to hell. Cheezy upgrades will be the plague of the times, like rust is to our Z's. Instead of "Damnit, more sheet metal please" It will be... "wish they didn't put these LED windshield washer nozzles on"

I think that's a cool motor, actually. Looks pretty good in a blazer, i'm sure it would still look mean in a Z. My Father's 1996 blazer with the vortec has 260,000 miles and still pulls strong. Good luck with the swap

I'm debating whether to do a fuel cell, or clean out the old tank and re-do the lines. I would prefer to do a cell for many reasons. Anyone have a setup that works well and looks good? Pics? Criteria: 8+ Gallon Cell Fuel cell setup that is easily filled, don't have to move the spare. (opening the trunk to fill is ok by me). Spare is as accessible as stock. What would be an optimum mounting point for the fuel cell? Side to side I would think center, but is there any weight (me) that is on one side of the car that would benefit by setting the cell to the passenger side of the car instead? Front to rear, I would think as far forward as possible, but as far as this goes that is only a guess. I can't begin to imagine the variables as far as handling, and straight line traction, any input on this?

Wow... That is amazing work. Now I want a 510 front clip with a VG as a coffee table.

Which is it? Please don't lie to us already... Yes, it does look like it will beat a civic right before it snaps itself in two. Lots of work, good experience along the way. Good luck with the project, it's cool that you have a shop teacher that will help you out like that. Hopefully by the time it's done, it will look better, get more stares, and actually get out of it's own way... unlike a civic.

Unreal.... It looks like someone turned it upside down and placed it there gently.

If we get a HybridZ logo, what are the chances of being mistaken for being enviro-friendly?? Because I for one certainly wouldn't want to give off that impression... On the bright side we can just buy the "Z", and go midnight parts shopping for a "hybrid" logo on more than 1 car now...
