  1. L28ET oil pan showed up. It's in great condition. This was surprisingly hard to source. I'm realizing at this point I could have just bought a complete motor for parts, would have saved me some money in the long run. Oh well, finding the parts is half the fun anyway!
  2. Here's the best i could find of the ZX turbo VC. I still have the sticker on my turbo VC but it's been painted over. If you have any suggestions on how to remove the paint and not damage the emblem let me know and Ill take a good pic.
  3. I'm not currently running an IAC so my idle sits a little high and warm up takes awhile but I'm used to it by now. As long as the performance isn't worse and it gives a better low end feel I'll be happy. I mostly cruise around town and take some spirited roads, just looking to improve throttle response, gas mileage, and of course just have something different.
  4. Well I may be ditching the shaved and polished manifold for this NAPS Computer System manifold I just acquired. From what I can gather NAPS stands for Nissan Anti Pollution System and used it on Japanese Market only model L20 & L28 motored sedans like the Gloria & Cedric. The cool part about this set-up is the twin barrel throttle body. At 1/4 throttle the smaller primary fully opens up, after that the larger secondary will begin to open. The advantages will be improved low end torque, better gas mileage, and who knows what else. I don't think if there will really be any disadvantages to this set-up. It's also just really cool! I've never seen one, I think it would look awesome powder coated black with the lettering remaining silver to match the valve cover. Decisions decisions.. NAPS vs N42 Here's a couple links for reference: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/32764-naps-l28-intake-manifold-with-twin-butterfly-tb/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_NAPS Regarding twin barrel TB's http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/39280-p65-efi-intake-manifold/
  5. Glad to know its l28. Just wish I knew how this and turbo would get along.
  6. Thanks, I'm thinking now would be a good time to get rid of some more gold in the engine bay. I'll keep my eye out for your build. Here's a pic of my two ladys. Giggity.
  7. So I came across this manifold on ebay listed as "datsun intake manifold". When I looked at the pictures I saw it said NAPS computer system. I did a quick google search and found just a couple threads regarding this type of manifold found here: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/32764-naps-l28-intake-manifold-with-twin-butterfly-tb/ More regarding the twin butterfly: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/39280-p65-efi-intake-manifold/ I assumed it was very rare so I snatched it up. The primary "smaller" throttle plate is about the size of a quarter, I'm going to remove the tb tomorrow and try to get some better measurements. If anyone can tell me anything else that would be great. I'm really excited about this manifold for some reason, I'm considering using over a nice shaved and polished n42!
  8. Here's some of the parts for this job. Doing the motor mounts while I'm in there. Louvered inspection lids arrived from 1 tuff z. They look great. Should aid with cooling and make it look mean!
  9. Sounds good, $120 shipped seems to be right around the ballpark for one in good shape.
  10. Oh ok, sorry, just half to be careful! Do you have a pic or two you could send me? How much shipped to 92562? Thanks
  11. Since you have no posts you can't be trusted with my money sorry..
  12. I started attacking some of the bigger issues today. Exhaust leak, freezer plug leak, and turbo oil drain leak. The oil drain going back into the pan always seeped oil and was excessively long so I sourced an oem drain tube to replace this mess.. Then I realized how someone did the most half assed fitting on the pan. Someone drilled a hole in the stock pan and loosely stuck a fitting through the hole and slapped some gasket maker around it. At this point I'll have to get a bung welded to this pan or locate a turbo oil pan. Here's the leaky freezer plug (expansion plug). Same guy I'm sure "fixed" this. There was another freezer plug JB welded over the original leaky one. Nice. The aftermath. Turbos in good shape at least.
  13. Thanks, the exhaust is going to be changed to something more traditional..and louder.
  14. Need a turbo oil pan in good shape

  16. That sucks, hopefully he will contact you of he ever changes his mind. You should check in with him every six months.
  17. Only you can really answer that. Depends on your mechanical abilities or money to throw at it for that matter. Someone out there would love a rhd s30 just for the nostalgia, if you just want something that drives good and could care less about what side your sitting on maybe it's best to take the car that will be less of a headache. I would want the rhd if it were me just for the nostalgia and cool factor. I don't think I would care much for shifting left handed though, it would be like playing with yourself lefty..fun at first, but short lived.
  18. I bought this kit for my 71 and was great. I went to buy it for my 73 and got my money refunded saying they were no longer producing the kit.
