nope, its the motor, not the turbo, turbo still spooled up fine after a new oil line & oil. motor tapping etc.

today has sucked, and I haven given up on my 300zx plans. let me give you a rundown of today. I woke up this mornig, got ready to go to my class, hopped in the Z, and headed off for class. the plan was to go to class and then go to the shop to have a part replaced on the Z. well, I'm riding down the road for a while & I realize that car has changed tones and is louder than normal. I can't just stop in the middle of the road, so I drive to a store & park. I look at my oil pressure guage....and it is on 0. I am freaking out and decide to put some oil in it & pray that everything will be okay. I put oil in the top....and it drains out the bottom....I have to be in class in less than 10 minutes. luckly one of my friends happens to have stopped at the store for a soda, she gives me a ride to school....my class lasts a total of 10 minutes.....I have to find a ride back to my car. one of the customers that come into my store gives me a ride. I get the Z towed to the only shop in town I actually trust, I get there at 9. they inform me that I managed to melt my oil line.....they replaced the line for me, put oil in, and crank it up....no surprise, I spun/beat up a bearing....this is at 3;10....so guess what....I quit. I don't have the money to rebuild this motor, I don't have the time to do it since school just started back up. I really wanted to make this car something special, but I can't drive it for 2 days without something breaking....I just can't afford to keep putting money into it just to keep it running. so I am selling both my 300zxs, my brand new hks-ssqv bov, apexi avc-r boost controller, and ALL my spare parts. I really hate to do it, but I see no other valid option at this point in time. ='-( Hank

Okay, i just came into some money, and it is all going to go into my car. i just don't know exactly what to do. i have roughly 1g to play with. i don't really know what to do with it though, lol. i would like some racing seats because one of my seats is already broken at one of the hinges, and they just aren't very comfortable. does anyone know a good set of racing seats that are actually comfortable and affordable at the same time. i looked at some bride seats, they look pretty nice...but uhhhh...they are nearly 1g a piece. too rich for my blood. if anyone knows someone trying to sell some recaro, bride, sparco, etc(high end) seats at decent pries please let me know. or if someone knows of another good brand that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, let me know that as well. If anyone has a good idea of what would be a good next step for my car, give me an idea. just to give you some specs on my car: 1985 300zx turbo t3/t4 hybrid manual boost controller installed, ebc ordered, should be here soon bov ordered, will be here this week cat back exhaust, got it but not installed in a few weeks i will be getting a walboro 255 + larger injectors so don't worry about that. thanks for any and all advice -typhoone

that is what i was worried about. the only thing i could think of is the spark following the gas back to the motor, but i'm no mechanic so i don't know if that could actully happen or not.

i get tailgated all the time, maybe i'll hook that up just as a "you've pissed me off" button.

found this online "For this one, all you need is a car, a spark plug, ignition wire and a switch. Install the spark plug into the last four or five inches of the tail pipe by drilling a hole that the plug can screw into easily. Attach the wire (this is regular insulated wire) to one side of the switch and to the spark plug. The other side of the switch is attached to the positive terminal on the battery. With the car running, simply hit the switch and watch the flames fly!!! Again be careful that no one is behind you! I have seen some of these flames go 20 feet!!!" just wondering, how dangerous is this to the car? it would be kind of interesting to watch, but somehow i have a feeling that it has the ability to end very badly.

i was thinking about something earlier, and i was wondering: if there is no replacement for displacement, why is the rb26det so much better than the vg30et? rb=racing bred 26=2.6 d= dual overhead cam e=electronic fuel injection t=turbo vg=.... 30=3.0 e=electronic fuel injection t = turbo the vg has more displacement, but i am sure there are plenty of reasons why the rb26 is better. I am not trying to be a purist or anything like that, i was just wondering, that's all.

the cgi for movies nowadays is getting EXTREMELY realistic. all the transformers looked like something you could buy at a dealership and....omg....it was GREAT.

i know EXACTLY how you feel. when me and my gf started dating i was 18 and she was 16. well...i turned 19 two months later. before that her mom didn't have a huge problem with it, but when i turned 19....damn things changed. we have now been together for a year and a half. if you like her as much as you say you do, stick it out and deal with it. it gets better as the parents get to know you, but until you earn their trust, buckle up cause it's going to be a BUMPY ride

i have a t3/t4 turbo on my car, does that mean that my turbo is better than the stock rb25 one? I am asking because i am thinking about doing a swap and if i already have a better turbo i will just get that one put on the rb25. -sorry for the thread jack
