    What im doing on my 280Z is wirebrush and/or sandblast the rust, then zinc prime, then prime, then paint but with what im reading here now i think i should've put some rustconverter under that ... at least i didnt do alot of it yet just the radiator support area.

    I talked to a local Z guy freak about my RB26 (around 300 hp)swap and besides what you guys are talking about he told me i should spot weld my shock towers and other places in the engine bay to prevent it from cracking I was wondering what you guys think about that ?

    Sorry for bringing an old thread back up . Can i use a RB26 PULL (yes pull) type clutch Exedy Carbon single plate clutch,with a Z32 tranny mated to RB26 bellhousing, its a combo clutch flywheel ? Thank you very much .

    And the other thing I am wondering is if all the DIY web sites that shows way to swap in lsds in 240sx open diff, will they work in a R200 long nose from a Z ?

    It seems you can swap any aftermarket LSD made for non lsd 240sx and they will fit. I guess I will buy one and try its not like its going to be hard to sell if doent fit anyway and at first I was looking at an OBX helical but they dont seem to be of very good quality even when you upgrade the bolts.

    Im wondering the same thing about a RB26 swap since i dont have the MAF with it id like to try a blow through setup with an aftermarket MAF sensor im just wondering if its fesible or not since i could use just one big maf instead of 2 big ones since space is an issue in S30 Z a blow through would actually save space . RS speed you say to put it just after the I/C i find its a good place for it on WRX it was in the intake pipe near the air box .

    Hi, im starting to look around for a clutch and flywheel for my RB26 swap and I was wondering what everybody has ? Z32 flywheel with RB25 clutch or RB26 flywheel and rb25 clutch ? I'll be using a Z32 tranny (push type clutch) on RB26 bellhousing and I wonder what to use. I like the exedy products but i want to know what you guys have . Thank you

    Why does it seem that no one buys an aftermarket lsd like a KAAZ from a 240sx and swap it in ? Did any one try it . I would have a good deal on one and i want feed back a little ?

    I really love this topic, but is their any calculation program or just a formula that could help me choose if a R180 STI 3,90 diff used on a RB26 with Z32 tranny would work or not ?

    Subscribed ! great find . I would check the earlier (93 and less) honda accords heater/ac unit if i reacall from the one i had they were pretty small in size but they were electric/mech controlled .

    Id say try it if your going to bring them to the chrome shop anyway try to fix some of the dents youll know right away if your up to the task or not and when you bring them to chrome later they can fix what you didnt do right the first time, imall about trying before giving up but thats me. What i dont like about the Fiberglass bumpers is that in minor impact where the metal on would hold a little bit the FG one will break and way more damage to the front end IMO .

    Here is what i mean you cut where the X is right . The othjer picture is to show the diffrence in thickness . I know i read somewhere a discription of where to cut but i cant find it . Since this a thread about Mckinney mounts i though id ask here . Thank you.

    Sorry to drop in like this but i have the Mc kinney mounts to and i was wondering if you guys got new shorter bolts on your engine mounts or did you shim them . The original RB engine mounts were almost 3/8 thicker on the bloc side then the Mckinney and in the trans tunnel its just the "ears" of the 280z trans mount that i take off and not all the hump in their . Ill try to post pictures of what im talking about . Thank you .

    I dont know about others but ill be using neoprene insulating tape and 3M glue on the back because the glue used on these isnt strong enough .

    Nice flares ! Im kinda liking the G-nose on that car its weird I never like the G-nose but that black car looks great !
