i dont know what spal is but it looks complicated. i just got a 280z with this power window kit that has a simple box with an engine inside that turns that metal sticking out of your door panle. it looks very easy to install and doesent get in the way. here's a pic. i would tell you the name of the company but i won't be home untill august 28.

ok you need the turbo header from the 280zx, a turbo(either stock or bigger one), down pipe with exhaust, bigger injectorS(420), adjustable efi system (i'v heard of some poeple using those 300zx turbo ones on ebay, but i dont know much about that), bigger fuel rail, bigger fuel pump, fuel regulator, and maybe a few other parts that i might be forgetting. if you engine is built with forged internals then you should be able to boost around 15 psi. maybe more or less. also the only difference between youy bottom end of your engine and the 280zxt engine is that it has a nok sensor, and a different oil pan which you will also need to get. i think your engine might have one but if not you should drill and tap a hole and install a nok sensor. go to this link http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=84860

i once herd that welding directley to your frame is a bad idea becouse it makes it easyer to break. so should i weld, or drill holes and bolt on the extra support. what do you guys think?

good point, maybe i can fit those rims after all. i dont know if im alawd to ask this but does anyone know where i can get those plastic things you put on youy fender to make them wider while still looking good. i think they are called fender flares or something like that.

does anyone know of a rim company that has rims about 9.5 inches wide with a different offset?

i'm planning to get wide tires on my z but it's allready pretty hard to turn the wheel when im not moving, so i was thinking to maybe take the power steering system of a zx or some other car and put it on my 78 280z. has anyone ever done this is it possible? thanks

hi everyone i found a pair of rims made by sportmax and they are pretty cheap. i was wondering if they would fit on my car or not? go to this link to se the specsifications http://www.buywheelstoday.com/products/?ID=2849. i was planing on getting the 18 x 9.5, but i dont know if they would fit on my car. i know i will definatley have to cut my fenders, but is that all that has to be cut? i was also planing on putting the ground controll coli over kit. if the rims are to big what would be the biggest size possible. also if anyone knows another rim company that is about the same price and size pleas give me their link. thanks for your help!

o, ok, i fell stupid

no i just put an air fillter on the valve cover, and pluged up everything on the carb.the distributor advanance is hooked up to the manifold.

i personally have a four barrle manifold from arizona z car, and i would like to say that it works perfect! cold starts are a breez, it runs great and tunning is easyer then tuning my weedwacker. it has better performance, and i would tell you about the gas millege but my gauge is broken. dave is personally a great person, who always answers my questons whenever i call, even when he's busy swimming in his pool. all i have on my l26 engine is the manifold, 390cfm carb, msds header, and msd6al. over all i am very satisfied! thanks dave i will be making more orders soon.

another way to go is to get a lug converter, which makes your lug pattern into a 4x100, giving you an infinite amout if rims for dirt cheap prices on your car. thats the way i went and so far they work perfect. also i actually have an extra set a lug converters that i dont know what to do with if your interested (send me a message) i'll take the a bit of a loss and give them to you for $180. they reatail for $215 and modern motorsport, and there brand new!

what i do to get the time to go by wile working on my car is to have somone watch me and keep me company while im working. you can work for hours! especially if it's some hot women, then you work really fast so you can get done so you can go inside.

ok so im looking at different types of engine set ups for my 260z. i recentley saw on ebay that they were selling JDM 2JZ-GTTEsupra engines with the stock five spead tranny. so i was wondering will the stock tranny fit in my 260z. what modifcations do i need to make. such as drive shaft,were the shifter will end up, how to mount it, and if anyone knows how to make an engine mount. thanks
