what do you guys think about heel teo driving on the track? john? i've been introduced to the concept and it makes sence. what are your opinoins?

yes off course. i added those black strips after the bumpers came back from the chrome shop. but there are a few screws that the strips are covering.

as you can see they line up perfect and i don't think they are different from the 240z as far as over all shape goes.

i use to have a early 260z with the original thin bumpers. all you have to do is pop the shock so you can push it in as much as you like, then tack weld the shock in place if you think it might move when your driving the car. i drilled a small hole in the top of the shock to get it to pop. i coulden't find 240z brackets so i made some out of some 1/8 sheet metal. it might have been 1/4 not sure. but here is a picture.

you might be able to use one off a 240sx, 280zx, or a maxima. i havent ever done it but i think i read somwhere that they were simular.

Well all the parts you are suppose to have are: rotors calipers pads brake lines brackets hardware I think that's it. the calipers you have look like 280zx calipers. I don't know were you would buy this setup.

Have you tried adjusting the maf sensor? my car had the same problem. i use the get 15 miles per gallon, and would not even come close to passing smog. then i adjusted the maf sensor, and my car went from 14.7 to .004 emitions, and is now getting 20 miles per gallon. there are forums here on how to do it. but if you don't know what you are doing you might want to pay a mechanic to do it. the best way is to take it to a smog place and hook up their machine in your tail pipe. Then adjust the sensor. this way you know were to leave the setting. if you do it with out the the machine at the smog shop you could make your car to lean and hurt your engine.

No it's a regular gas engine. 6.0 litre vortec

Carless: I just said that it is a FACT that my hummer h2 is getting better gas mileage because of this contraption. They say it has more power but it's hard to feel in a 6500 pound car, but I’m sure you get a little more performance. So at the least it should give you more mpg. I say put it in. no one else has any proof or experience against this so take that into consideration when your deciding. I guess there are products on the market that do make false claims so I’ll retract that part of my statement.

My dad has one in his Hummer H2. He says he got a little better gas millage but barley any more performance. When i asked him if he had one would he leave it out, he said he would put it in since it did help a little. I say put it in.

i know for a fact that the 16x8 fits over the toyota brake kits and has some room left over. i'm pretty sure they will fit over your brakes. since the toyota kits are sticking out past the face of the hub about 16mm. your caliper will have the pistons on the inside of the rotor so there is probabley not going to be much "x factor" sticking out past the face of the hub. atleast not more than the toyota brakes. by the way those xxr513 are much better looking in my opinion.

i was trying to do this swap a while ago but once i saw how small the pads and calipers were i decided to go another route. anyway i have the reubuilt calipers off a 200sx, the brackets from the maxima, and the rotors off the 280zx which is the same as the s13 240sx rotor. i have no use for any of it so if you want i would be willing to give the parts to you for my cost (which is pretty reasonable). the parts were only put on the car to see if everything lined up, and they did. i never bled the brakes though. tell me if your interested.

i have put my speakers in the doors in my last three z cars but this time i decided to put them right next to the gas pedal. it looks like it woul get in the way but it actually doesen't, and my wear size 13 shoes so this might be an option for you. by the way the speakers sound the best when they are in the door panel. and you should definatley buy this box. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SP look to the right of the gas pedal.

i'm looking at these prices on ebay and they seem to be very cheap. i think their making all the money on the shipping charges. can somone tell me what city and zip code they live in, and how much the shipping quote is for their location? i'm thinking to start selling these for less but i need to know what they are making off the shipping. if it looks like there is a profit to be made i might just buy the rim in each size it comes in and try it on my car to see if it fits over the toyota breaks. thanks in advance for your help.

i have personally sean a 4x4 z at motorsports sho two years ago. the guy basically just put his z body on some truck frame. and then i saw a movie on youtube that had this yellow 260z that was awd. he was in the canyons racing. i tried to find the movie but had no luck. it is possible. but if i had to do it i would just use the body of my car and put it on the frame of another. but just buy an sti and be done with it.

The problem with those electric cars are that they ALL look like s**t

so you would need 3/4 of a gallon of gas to run the generator for enouph time to fully charge your batteries. and once the batteries are charged you can drive 65 miles on them. so you'r basically doing 65 miles with 3/4 of a gallon of gas?

Earlier you were talking about using a generator to charge the batteries for long distance driving. How much gas do you think the generator would use in order to charge the batteries in your car (when the car is just sitting)? And then let’s say you’re just driving and you run out of battery power and you decide to turn on the generator. How much gas would it be using as you drive down the freeway? I know these are questions that you won’t have a sure answer but I would just like to know your educated guess. Keep up the good work though. This is VERY interesting!!!!!!!
