    Not exactly what I was wanting to hear, but maybe I'll fool around with some different products and see if I can find one that will stick to the chrome. On a related note, would I be able to sand the surface rust off with fine sandpaper to a mirror finish, and then just spray some clear coat on it? Or would that not work very well. Thanks for help so far guys, and sorry for stealing the original posters thread.

    What about rusted trim? Somebody in the past took sandpaper to a few areas on my trim. Any suggestions on what to do with that so the rust won't return?

    I'm also curious. My trim isn't exactly in the best of shape, and I'm not exactly eager to remove all of it and get it powdercoated, or even rechromed.

    Ignition related probably. I suggest you change your spark plugs, coil, rotor and cap, and see if that works. If not, it's something to do with the EFI system.

    I don't really think it's that overpriced.

    280zx = "The rusty one", for obvious reasons. 300zx = "Ricer", due to the large muffler that was on it when I bought it.

    I would personally go FPR, but I think the original mechanical one is a viable option as well.

    Is it just the lights that do this? Or does any electrical draw cause it to die?

    I'm seriously considering it. If I have any money left over from replacing the clutch on my 4runner I'll do it.
