  1. See if they carry Centerline, they have a very large selection for the s30, the two I like are the Ventura's (Hint: they are having a clearance on the 15's:)) The convo pro's have always been a favourite of mine to, not sure why there are not many Z's with these wheels on. The thing I like about the Ventura's is that you can pick the backspacing and width of the rim. Good Luck. Here is a link: http://www.centerlinewheels.com/wheel_deals_list.php
  2. Chrome wheels overall IMO should not be allowed on a car, trade them in quick, nice Z overall though!!
  3. I to wonder how these would look on a 240, 280 and 280zx, not sure if anyone is running them on here but if anyone has any pictures we would love to see some, I still feel that these would look excellent on the 280zx since the look is very close to the stock 6 spokes.
  4. That is a very good combination, many people are running that configuration on their Z's, the tire height is almost identical front and back. You are like me, I do not like the extreme stretched tire look.
  5. Very sharp looking wheel, the only problem I can see is the offset, with an offset that high and the fact you are running ZG flares you would need a very large adapter (spacer), based on the offset you stated (35mm) you could start at a 1.5 inch spacer which equals about 37mm, a spacer any larger would push your wheels out further, at this point you may want to measure and see how much further you want to come out. Not sure though if it is wise to use a spacer larger than 1.5 inchs, but people do.
  6. I have always thought that the sportmax 002's have spokes that are just to small, seeing that you have a 280 zx I would personally go with the Sportmax 501's on that particular car since they closely resemble OEM 280zx 6 spokes which are widely considered to be the nicest OEM wheels Nissan made for these vehicles. The 501's are now available in 16x8 and have a fairly low offset, I have seen adapters (spacers) that are 15 mm that would fit perfectly with these wheels on your 280zx. Here is what they look like in silver, they have them in black and gunmetal as well, good luck!!: Here is Sportmax's website you can see this wheel in the different colors. http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_501.shtml#
  7. Just thought I would suggest the following.....I have been following this thread with some interest and I have noticed that there some predicting going on in regards to the wheel size and offset, I just thought I would suggest the following which should spark more interest in people actually purchasing. You could divide this into four categories which would make everyones order much less confusing to them and to the company making the wheels. 1. People running their Z with coilovers and with ZG flares - (specify the optimal wheel size, backspacing and offset for both front and back here) 2. People running their Z without coilovers and with ZG flares- (specify the optimal wheel size, backspacing and offset for both front and back here) 3. People running their Z with coilovers only and no flares - (specify the optimal wheel size, backspacing and offset for both front and back here) 4. People running a stock setup, some people like the look of the wide wheels but do not want to run flares. (specify the optimal wheel size, backspacing and offset for both front and back here) Just thought I would add, that it is up to us as a group to figure out what is the best Wheel size, backspacing and offset for the wheels in each category, this is difficult for many people to calculate on their own.
  8. Well there would be one way for 260turbo to find out for sure and that is to measure the backspace himself, if it measures 4.5" this would give him a positive offset of about 12mm.
  9. Hey I am glad I got Goose52 back here again! And his wheels are in fact 15x6, sent me photo. Maybe these wheels even come in 15x8? Which would go perfect up front. Anyway, here is a picture of these wheels in 15x9, they look really deep and nice, picture is kinda blurry though.
  10. I think I remember seeing that a while back, I will try to contact them, the thing I find strange is that according to ATS, they do not make the ATS Classic wheel in 15x6 but rather 15x5.5, and he seems to be looking for another 15x6?, maybe he rounded it off. (LOL)
  11. These are the 15x8's with 225/50/15's all around, correct? They look very sharp, do you know how many rotations you had per lug? This would help you determine if a 5mm spacer would work, I can not remember off hand but I believe it was 5 full rotations for your wheel to be in the safety zone. (not sure though, please anyone correct me if I am wrong). I still find it odd that you are running coilovers and need to resort to using spacers for 4mm, what would someone like myself with stock suspension or lowering springs need to do? Maybe the 16" or 17" RB's would clear the stock suspension better, would be interesting to find out.
  12. I actually own these and they are on my 76 Z, but they are 14x7's and I need a wider rim at least for the back, I am hoping maybe even to just find them in 15x9 and use a staggered set up on my car. Say 225x60x14 in the front and 265x50x15 in the back or even a 245 in the back, not sure how that would look though, with a 225 on a 7 inch rim and a 245 on a 9 inch rim, I am thinking the wheel bulge would be greater up front? (Height wise they would be about the same)
  13. Anyone know if these are still available anywhere new to purchase, or anyone sell these used? Looking for 15x7 and 15x9 ATS Classic or stern, of course in 0 offset, any help is appreciated. By the way I have seen pics of these in 15x9 they look incredible.
  14. The wheels do say e04 which would mean an offset of +4, correct? I do not understand why these wheels would not fit better than this, and he is even running coilovers, 4mm is very small, just look at a ruler, something does not make sense???
  15. mray, you will actually need adaptors (I have seen several on Ebay) for such a large + offset, an inch and a half should do the trick since that would be a total of approx. 38 mm.
  16. I am in the same dilemma as yourself, the problem as I see it now is that tires are not being made in the 15 inch size like they used to be. My ideal size if I were going with 15 inch wheels would be to run 15x7 wheel in the front with a 225/55/15 tire, and a 15x8 wheel in the rear and run a 245/55/15 tire, but the later does not exist, I could go with 245/50/15's in the rear but finding a company that will make a 225/55/15 and a 245/50/15 has become impossible. I am hoping more companies will start making more 16x8 wheels that would give us more choices for tire sizes.
  17. Anyone know where I can purchase rear lowering springs only, they seem to be only sold in sets of four, I need to bring my 76 Z down in the rear about 1 to 1.5 inchs. Thanks
  18. Hi everyone, anyone know where I can find a picture of these rear quarter panels on an early Z car. They are the 3 inch IMSA bulged quarters. Thanks. http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/240Z-p-IMSA-BULGEDQUARTERS.JPG
  19. Yes those are the ones, thanks Pete, can not see why my link would not work but yours does so I will just leave it alone.
  20. I really like the look of these wheels and they are now available in 16x8 which is an added bonus, the only problem is the offset, they are positive 15. Anyone know what would be the smallest spacer I would need to slap these onto a 1976 S30 and not cause any issues? Also who would be a realiable source for the spacers interms of quality and price? I am thinking of going 225/50/16 in the front and 245/50/16 in the rear (which would give me an extra inch of height compared to the front).
