  8. when nismo had their clearance in december they went for less 200$$cash. i was sure to order them. they also sold 550cc injectors for 10$ each. next time i get a clearance catalog i will post it all up.
  9. i tried search with no luck--can you use a non-turbo z31 trans in a 280z if you switch the bell housing with the original 4 speed?? also can you use the 280 clutch or 300 clutch??
  10. you can generally get engines pretty cheap in the LA area because you dont have to pay for as much shipping and there is a little more variety and competition for shops. i already got one 7m at that price and it has been reliable in my friends supra for 50000miles so far

  12. I KNOW WHAT THE DROPPING RESISTOR IS I JUST DIDNT SEE WHAT THE CONNECTOR WAS ON THE HARNESS UNTIL I STARTED PLAYING WITH IT
  13. I THINK THEY ARE RUNNING AROUND 1400 OR LESS COMPLETE WITH TURBOS AND INJECTORS BUT NO HARNESS
  14. THE IDLE PROBLEM IS PROBABLY THE IDLE SPEED CONTROLLER. IT HAS SOME REAL LONG FANCY NAME BUT CANT REMEMBER WHAT IT IS. THAT SOLVED THE IDLE PROBLEM I HAD ON MINE.
  15. i am running the zxt wiring but using my NA n42 head which does not have the head temperature sensor built on the side like the p90 does. can i use something like the coolant temp sensor in the thermostat housing on the N42 head??
  16. well i figured it out. it was the connector for the injector resistor box. amazing that nobody here or MSA knew what it was
  17. i work at a nissan parts counter so im supposed to sell nissan factory fluids at 100% mark-up. also all of the plugs that most dealers would stock are platinum. and as far as the KA24 pistons no they probably would not hold 450hp, but in lengine program when you set up the L31 thats what it says to use
  18. the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 spark plug type is usually platinum best fluids are Nissan factory coolant and oil (available at your local dealer) stroker needs maxima LD28 crankshaft, KA24 pistons, L24 rods, a P90 head and 1mm head gasket (some of these can be changed) intercooler piping should probably be about 2.5" 3" exhaust is awsome for 350+ hp you will need bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump and bigger turbo. i like the NOS fogger kit for nitrous. hope that helps
  19. on the wiring harness just up from the ECU connectors is an 8 pin connector with mostly red wires...is that my pwer source and do i need that chunk of the harness?? the pictures of the harness in the Nissan parts catalog shows no pictures of the harness itself.
  20. hey all im looking for a set of forged pistons for my L28ET buildup. im looking for about .040 overbore and i cant find anyone that has some damn forged pistons. i work for nissan and have a part number for the Nismo forged pistons, but getting ahold of Steve Christianson at Nismo is damn near impossible. i need to try to get these asap, but cant find a company that has even heard of a 280ZX.
  21. what do i need to do the upgrade?? do i need to cut any wires, or is it plug-n-play??
  22. the recall is still open on the car to if you take it to a dealer they can give you info on it and do it if it wasnt already done on your car
  23. for an L28ET can you use the MAF sensor from a non-turbo Z31?? also can you use the ECU or do they have to be from a turbo Z31??
