heres the start of the door bar front strut almost smooth Rear x with gussets started front runner bar(what a pain in the ass to get it in place)

basically he wants to put a good cam choice heads etc etc that will best suit the application. Know what he is working with etc etc.

You will want to gusset it for sure. that one bar can bend alot easier then the stock peice. Its simple a triangle is almost impossible to bend a square bends easily.

OK I have done alot of research on the subject but I cannot decide what I want to do. I am building my car for a weekend warrior/ 1/4 mile car. Its going to get a 383 stroker dropped in it. My engine builder says he wants to build the engine around the turbo and that ill be much happier with it that way. Here is where Im lost Ive got alot of oppinions and some say twins some say single larger. Im leaning toward a single larger turbo because the piping would be much easier that way. I want to make it a clean install with the intercooler and all so If anyone has any suggestions on this subject I would appreciate it. Also if you have done this type setup pics would be great. i was told by a local builder that the x needs to be within 18" of the floor and he did a basic layout for me on the center hoop but i am always willing to take suggestions ill run these by him and see if he thinks i should change it up

I dont think its that much its only about 4 sticks of dom by the time Im done itll be close to 220lbs but well worth the weight. I have yet to tie the seats in and build the door bars but it will hapen soon very soon. and the weight will just mean more hp to the ground Im planning to have this car in the low 10s so any added strength is well worth it.

would something like this work? be legal? I have see it before I think its what you were talking about but I'm not sure. The seat needs to stay low in the cab so the bars will also hit the floor and go with it to the tunnel. Sorry about the crude drawing but here it is
