  1. Ok before you think im lame this is a serious question. I have a s400 im mounting this thing is really heavy would i be better off to make a mount off the motor or frame rail and put a flex pipe to the headers? There will only be 1 silicone 90 befor the intercooler so I dont think I will have enough flex to mount it off the engine but thats why I am posting here
  2. Got my s400 and mocked it in not 100% sure on all the pipe routing yet but here she is
  3. just turbo th v8 and solve both problems the sound or the turbo with the rumble of a v8 lol

My buddy is taking the engine and dropping it in a vangon lol should be fun also he says he is going to turbo it? I think he is nuts that engine has close to 10-1 compression but its his engine. Yes my car is a s130 with a cage. I still need to do the door bars but im being lazy about them lol o well right its a project

  11. yea thanks for the pics. Im thinking about building some custom headers and running the turbo at an angle in mine. I will post pics as soon as i get em done.
  12. As the title starts to say I am looking into building a set of custom headers for my sbc. Problem is they need to go odd directions to accomidate my s400 and keep the piping looking sexy. What im looking for is where can i buy pieces parts to make these all I have found is hanksvillehotrods.com and wow I would rather not spend 21 bucks a 90 plus 7.5 a cut but if I have to I will any other good sources?
  13. It is all sodered. I tried the soapy water might try again though. Each zone was shut off from the next to isolate the leak. there are no hoses hardlined or connected to the quick connects. Is it possible for a quick connect to leak when nothing is plugged into it? I pulled one apart re taped it twice and its still leaking should i replace it or?
  14. found a good idea on another forum I took a funnel and put it in my ear and found one sizeable leak at the tank now it dropped under 15 psi all night. the system I found my pressure regulator is leaking a little as well as the water traps I pulled the traps apart cleaned them up siliconed the drain tubes and now it only lostabout 10 psi the funnel trick works well just time consuming
  15. First off if this is in the wrong section I appoligize. Ok I am going nuts I have a couple leaks in my air compressor system in my garage. The compressor has a shutoff befor it goes to the shop. The compressor leaks down about 40 psi overnight. I have pulled apart all the fittings on the tank. I have re-taped them and screwed them back in. All I can think here is that device that reads the pressure and kicks on power and off. Could this possible loose psi? Also the second system has 3-20 gallon tanks the pressure regulator and water traps. This part of the system looses right about 20 psi overnight (I can live with this). And the main system looses about the same 20 psi. All three "zones" can be shut off independently of the rest. I guess what Im looking for is any new ideas to find the leaks. The whole system has about 120' 3/4 copper(main feed tubes), 80' 1/2 copper(down pipes and drain tubes to remove water from tanks in attic), 2 water traps(1 pipe t's into both then they both t back into one pipe. I was having trouble with the one keeping up.), there are about 15 quick connects, and a hose reel, there are 3-20 gallon tanks and a 80 gallon tank(on the compressor). Any Ideas on what could be leaking All of the connects are after the main shutoff. Thanks alot guys
  16. for equipment you use chart 250.122 it goes off your overcurrent protective device I dont beleive there is set % on the equipment I know there is on service entrance and feeders but equipment falls under diffrent rules
  17. uverkill on the ground is not a bad thing not bad at all
  18. All the national electric code requires for a grounding conductor is a #10 awg solid or stranded for #6 awg. As stated above the grounding conductor is only for times of fault. It cannot see any power anyother times. 240 volt is what we call a ballanced load. As far as de rating or uping the wire size you dont need to do that unless you are running more then one welder. 6 awg is good for 50 amps your fine to run it. As far as the disance you can go into a huge detailed math problem or just figure go up one wire size for every 100' your fine. If you have any questions drop me a message I am a master electrician and Am more then willing to help you out (best I can over the net)
  19. found the weld in kit here http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+115+%2D150882&D=%2D150882 has anyone used any of these? Or anyone have a homemade picture journal I could check out?
