    Just dig a big hole in your yard and park your car over it while your in the hole.Poor mans pit.Plus all the stuff you scrape off just falls into the hole that you will afterward fill back up(easy cleanup.

    You cant really brag mileage on a deisel.if it gets less than 500,000 its junk lol. one of the semi trucks i drove while being trained had just turned 1,200,000.

    Looks to me that between your delaminating body,obviuos body filler,horrible line up,and paint runs that the body of your car is basically butchered.Anything is fixable and it doesnt really look that bad. My advice- cut and grind everything off and start new,if you dont you will wish you did later!

    That maybe true,i do remember that with the windows i worked with were not even interchangable in that way,i think the later 78 280 window has a larger area of glass at the bottom than the 75 and is not linear at the bottom.

    I'm not sure i'd bother in that case...second thought,no dont do it in that case.Do a swap that allows bolted adapters to fit the engine if you plan to restore at some point.

    I have personally seen that a 75 280 window is not interchangable with a 78 280 window.So there must actually be at least 2 different windows just in the 280 line.

    OMFG that is rediculous,has the guy who creating "Direct Exhaust Injection" started tuning imports lol.

    Seems to me that there would be way more interest in making a sweet crossflow head to fit the stock block,even with an aluminum block your only picking up weight points and maybe a couple power points.

    Fitment isnt the problem for me.It was just too much project and too much money for too little real performance.

    Doh!!! i think 75's are the same as late 240's and 260's? correct me if im wrong on that but i'm quite sure that my 78's wont work in your car.

    Maybe not 26k but its worth quite a bid i would say.

    I have a couple of 280 windows if thats what you need- 78's. Not sure what the going rate is but i would let one go for like $50+ shipping.
