  1. oh and btw i wanted to let u guys know that hybridz is pretty much the greatest thing on earth, with awesome people who know they;re stuff. i appreciate the knowledge its given me at my age. oh yea and ktm was awesome for coming to try and help me out. AWESOME CAR MAN!!!!! i don't want to burn my car anymore. but im still pissed off at her haha.
  2. ur amazing vinh, u really know these cars haha. its doing exactally that. i need to reprogram the ecu before doing anything else. (i also had two front o2 sensors removed). I really dont feel like sending out the ecu to be programed at speartech for $300. For that cost i could get my own programmer. which program do you guys recomend thought? I need a program that will do the following things: Disable the anti-theft VATs Disable EGR, A.I.R., evap system, post-cat oxygen sensors blah blah blah systems and other emissions equipment Lower the cooling fan turn on temperature. Raising the rev limiter etc etc etc.... any recommendations?
  3. cool. i think one of the bolts was just loose cause when i started it now it trys to start but wont idle.
  4. sorry, im not sure what u mean by "power direct". i suck at electrical
  5. so heres the deal. I just got my wiring harness reworked from speartech (which is a complete waste of money btw), everything is connected according to their instructions, but the car wont start. it wont even turn over. i think i may have hooked up the starter wrong but idk. ive been messing with it for over two days!!!!! When i switch the ignition all i hear is a click, but nothing else. there are three prongs that come off the starter. One small one at the top and two at the bottom. i have it hooked up as (purple small wire) to the top small prong and battery cable on the prong on the bottom farthest from the driver. please help. i am really frustrated.
  6. save it. oh yea if u dont want to door panels u could always sell them to me. i need some.
  7. as far as emissions i dont have to pass smog. mine is a 75 which is the last year exempt from emissions. as far as no bumpers. well the corvette has a shaved bumper just like my Datsun. Even though my suspension is lowered its still legal. 22 inches from the middle of the headlight according to a cop i asked here in good old costa mesa. mine is 23"s off the ground. nothing can hang lower than the lowest part of my rim and nothing does. there are things illegal about my car, but cops are usually ok with pretty cars as long as im not doing anything stupid (i pretty good at controlling my self) but guys we are kinda getting off my original subject. i still havnt seen a decent mounting solution or roll cage with both passenger and driver harness bars incorporated. what would it cost to have a decent one made?
  8. so you have your harness attached to the strut mount? Do you have a pic u can send me?
  9. is there a roll cage that has the harness bars already built in? ive seen a few but they dont have both driver and passenger sides. its usually just the drivers side that has the bar.
  10. well what if i was to make my own harness bar attached to the front of the strut towers. would that work? i read here some where that the metal tubing would have to be .83 thick. sound right?
  11. thanks for the link. when i searched i came up with that link and its also the way i will be installing my harness. im not trying to fool cops. i am just wondering if it will get my in trouble on the street. by the sound of it, it wont be a problem. does anyone have a picture of sparkys harness handy?
  12. im in the process of installing a 5 point harness in the 280z and was wondering if people who already have them installed ever get trouble from police cause of the harness? also i want to know if it would be ok use a cusco rear strut bar to wrap the harness? i searched and noticed its been done with a pdk strut bar. just wondering if this would work until i got a decent roll cage in the car. The car will see track days but will also see many street days so that why i was wondering if this is going to attracted unwanted attention from police. if possible i would like to see how people mounted they're harness using the strut bar, and would appreciate the pics. thanks guys. -Matt
  13. i would keep the green. car looks clean.
  14. i think its pretty sexy. i would daily it for sure.
  15. awesome. so whats left? btw that mount looks so sweet. very sturdy,
  16. i think its a good idea. and with some modification they would probobly look nice (and be functional as well).
  17. oh well. i guess ive proved my signature true once again....
  18. hey hey hey now. thats not very nice. it could have been a benz perhaps?
  19. btw that idea of routing the front right caliper brake line using the front cross member is an awesome idea.
