    i love how they compare the lt1 with the bimmers 4 cyl. i need an e30 bad. They are absolutely gourgous. (especially with an s52 swap).

    btw about the oiling problems that the ls motors have (mentioned by Mikelly earlier in this thread), that seems to be a very easy fix. A catch can can be placed and the switching out of the pcv valve to the revised pcv valve (GM part #12572717)will fix this problem. oh yea and theres companies that already sell the catch can for the ls motors. http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com/Catch_Can.html

    smoorenc: yes the brace is a bitch to get off and the battery cannot be taken out without getting the brace out of the way. LS1 240Z:ill snap a pic of the headers today.

    sanderson headers. im planning on running a 3" y pipe into a single 3.5" all the way back. got the magnaflow resonator and muffler ready.

    nice. i like that idea. thing is, that corner is already a pain cause its hard enough to get the battery out as it is with the strut bar. oh well. maybe on the next ls1 swap haha.

    yup. def one of the biggest driving forces to complete it. the time frame is middle of december. i think its realistic too. we will see. ill keep you guys posted. oh yea and the intake ducting is from jci.

    update: i ditched the sump tank and went with an ls1 tank instead. Here are some progress pics. just need to finish brakes and exhaust and a few little things and we should be good to go. heres some pics. (excuse the wiring, its not quite done yet)

    yea i just scuffed them real quick with light sandpaper and painted them with ppg black paint (any paint will work really thou). I didnt put any seal coat. Still looks good. been about a year since its been painted i think.

    thanks man. I didn't find a place that sold the black trim so i painted the chrome ones myself. i like the blacked out look better.

    mull all the way. All of the cars mentioned are awesome but Mull is dedicated and knows how to do a resto right. my vote is for mull. 1 fast z is def second thou.

    just realized i never posted my car in this thread. 75 280z. costa mesa cali. old ls1 pic. motor is a little closer to being done now, from what the pic was takin.. its been 4 monthes since i started the motor swap....... im dying....
