  2. First time Ive seen this kinda of lowering springs this for the s30 (seen it on other cars). Is it a listing mistake or? Any benefits? Downsides? Def. caught my attention. And yes i am looking for suspension for....could it be.....another z car???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-Tokico-HP-Struts-Adjustable-Springs-Set_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3ca6ad28aeQQitemZ260494403758QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  3. Anyone got a pair of 240z taillight gaskets in acceptable condition (if someone has got a new set i'd also be interested in those)? Id rather pick them up locally but Im ok with paying for shipping. Msa simply charges too much for them and I don't deal with "shitty dragon".
  4. Derek let me know when you get going on this. Id be down for a set. I was also reading some stuff with the sound compitition crowd. Doesnt seem to hard to make. They start out with a wood frame staple an old t shirt to give it bends over the wood. Then soak that in resin and fiberglass from there. Been playing with the idea of giving it another go with that route. Ill post an update on here if I do. Got to look into it more.
  5. Not to mention when they do snap (and if they dont cause major damage like John stated), it will beat the **** out of the bottom of your car. When i broke one of mine it got caught between the LCA like john mentioned. Luckly I had already slowed down the car. It was scary thou. Car kinda "lifted" a bit when it caught. My advice: MM has an affordable cv conversion. Doing it now ( and right) will save you money in the long run. However I will say this (from experience from my car), you can get the best of two worlds by swapping in an lsd. Because the power isnt going to shoot to one wheel its harder to break half shafts with an lsd (not saying its not possible, just makes it harder since power is going to two wheel instead of one). Not to mention the benefits of LSD are numerous.
  6. Do you already have a plan? Materials? cost?
  7. Yea pics would be great. Id like to buy them but Im handy enough to make them if I have to.
  8. Middle east represent!!!! Sorry i have nothing better to add. Actually I do: I went with an ls1 swap and love it. Search ls1. You wont regret it.
  9. Contact MM. They are amazing with service. And he will take care of you guarantee. Very honest!
  10. Ive seen them. id like to stay away from my doors to be honest. Id like them somewhat "hidden" a little lower. That spot is useless and I want them tucked down there. But the door is my second choice I suppose.
  11. damn. Caught in the parking lot. haha http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=4317947&albumID=2742915&imageID=65006130
  12. I need a better mounting solution for front speakers for the front of the 75. Ive seen people with custom enclosures that fit in the front foot areas of the s30 chassis. Does anyone have an extra set? My freands 260z 2+2 came with square enclosures in those areas. Dont know what z cars came with those but ill settle for those. Show me what you have and how much you want.
  13. Hey Matt do you know how to install megasquirt i still havent made my car run. Willing to pay you $$. I want to have it running, if not im afraid im going to have to sell it.

  14. Pm sent for passenger side door strip and hood latch puller Assembly thing.
  15. Pretty sure air in the system will do the same thing. We did bleed it pretty well though at my house though. Is there a diffrence in the fluid level (lower at all?). Maybe if its lower a little that would confirm an internal leak?
  16. do you still have it? if so, what would be the shipping cost to 28429 zip code?

  17. Damn thats alot of rust on the outside. But for $170 its not bad. If the surface is that bad, im afraid to ask how the frame rails, floorpans, battery tray look like rust wise. Worst case scenerio, you pull a couple parts off sell them and you got your money back. As far as v8 swap, I dont think that car will be up to the task without serious, serious work if the rust has gotten to it. IMO find a 75 280z to do a v8 conversion on. I was able to pick mine up running with way less rust than that one for $300. So I would part that out and use the money for a beffier 280z for a v8. (this is all just my opinion, do what you want). Reasons to go for a 75 280z instead of a 240z for a v8 swap: -Thicker sheet metal (a little stronger than the 240z for the torque most v8s will make) -Bigger Frame rails (makes better tranny mounts instead of floor mounting) -Still smog exempt if 75 model -Early model will still resemble 240z (tank size, low trunk etc etc) -A little more developed than the 240z (electictical system, heater/ac work better, comes with rear sway bar, fumes not as bad) -Already has the r200 and beefier stub axles Thats what I think anyway. Either way, welcome to hybridz.
