  1. Hey people. Just picked up these amazing seats for the ls powered car. Yes they are ugly and will need to be reupholstered but they are worth it to me because of the fit (hoping to find a good shop in so cal to get it done before MSA). Its hard to get seats for s30 cars and even harder in 280z because of the enlarged trans tunnel. Thinking of going with the textured vinyl like material that was original. Some slits will need to be added for the racing belts but I think a competent shop should be able to do that. Anyway I put them in my car, but don't have pictures, but here are pictures of the car i got them from. Thing is I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE? There are no stamps or anything on the seats. Anyone know what car they came out of originally or what brand they are? Im keeping them, but I would like to find out more about them though. Anyway heres the pictures: So I have two questions for you people: 1- What car did these come out of? (or what brand) 2- Does anyone on here do upholstery locally (side job?)
  2. Let us know about the window rubber. Ive been wanting to fix mine somehow.
  3. Sneak peak/update. Car is a little dirty (kinda why the car is orange in these pics).
  4. I need a JCI ls1 a/c kit. All mounting brackets and hardware, Hose set, drier, pressure switch for "280" preferred. Wondering if anyone bought a kit they don't plan on using. pm me. Willing to trade parts or payment (both?).
  5. If i hadnt blended in the front of my car I would be all over this.
  6. garydena. I pmed him a while back. This is all I got back: "Sorry for the delay. I have not checked this is awhile. 17X9 10mm offset (REAR) 17x8 10mm offset (front) Hope this helps. "
  7. Mike, you probably googled "HKS NSSD - Neutral Safety Switch Defeater." didn't you? haha
  8. Heres the car. Pm the owner. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=5869&cat=fav
  9. On the window trim (part where its chrome then goes to rubber against the window). How did you restore/replace the rubber part? I need to do that on mine....
  10. I also have a full lock set. I have a full parts car. pm me.
  11. I have one. Bored out. Modified to use datsun throttle as well. You wouldnt happen to have a 280z center console would you? I am selling it in my part out thread though. $50 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=144969
  12. And this would allow me to keep the car at its current height (if I wanted to)?. I have no intention of keeping it like this on the street (for obvious reasons), but when i get to take the car to the track I would like to be able to lower like this if i needed to for whatever reason. Sorry for the obvious questions. Just want to do it right the first time and you would probably be the guy to ask for that.
  13. Sorry to bring back this thread (but after further thought about my current suspension, this topic came back to mind). After taking actual measurements of my tires, it turns out they are only about 24.1" tall, Not 25" like tire rack claims. I was wondering if that would help the height issue. Also John by "relocating mounting points" are you referring to the modification in the JTR book regarding the bump steer modification? Basically what the book describes as re-drilling the hole where the control arm mounts to the cross member so its higher (making my control arms level instead of pointing up)? I also have bump steer spacer already installed on the car if that helps my situation at all. Thanks.
  14. Whats up mike!?!? I have no useful information to add to your build except that its gona be awesome. Props. Good luck!
  15. Seriously. If only I had money to burn.... Good luck with the sale. So whats next? haha.
  16. Always been a fan of that car. Its amazing.
  17. Yea I thought about it. That was plan b. There wouldn't happen to be a template online or dimensions I could base it off of would there? Would like a stock piece or even a replica of a stock piece.
  18. I need the brackets that hold the two back speaker in place on the early 240z (series 1 I believe). You know, those early model ones that had two speakers in the back quarter panels of the car pointing towards each other in the trunk? I need a pair of those. Shipped to 92627 Costa mesa ca.
  19. You wouldn't happen to have pictures would you? They look like really nice seats. Wondering about fitment though. I sold my corbeau seats cause I didn't really like the fit. They were kinda big anyway. Went back to the stock seats for now until i figure out what im going to do.
  20. ls1 98-02 tank. I built a cradle that bolted up to the body of the car. Made it easy to drop tank later as a complete cradle. Held up with aluminum straps if I do just what to drop the tank itself.
  21. haha. ummm Thanks? btw heres the updated thread (somewhat): http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118882&page=6
  22. Sorry to high jack a little is there another way to improve suspension besides relocating everything if you are in the 25" range? My tires are about 25.1 in the front and exactly 25" in the rear and I also estimate a 3" drop. Is this to much? (picture for reference): Im not running a staggered setup size wise (17" all the way around). I am running one width wise however 8F and 9R.
  23. Thanks. After I get it button up I would like to take it to beta motorsports to take a look at everything (as this is my first time dealing with suspension mods that are not "bolt on" if you will) and make sure everything checks out. And hopefully he can get the car aligned somewhat. Theres a sticky here somewhere about alignment settings I would like to start with. As always, with out hybridz I would not have been able to do 90% of the stuff on this car. Thanks again people.
  24. Yes sir. 17x8 in front 17x9 in front. 235 in the front 255 in the back. +35. Spacers, longer arp studs, 1.5 lug nuts all the way around. Also added 240sx calipers in the rear, skyline lsd internals (with 3:70 gears), MM coilovers, and some other things here and there. Waiting on a couple more parts to complete the rear suspension as well as cv conversion parts from Ross. Almost there. As promised, I will clean the hell out of the car and post better pictures. Im very pleased so far and I hope it will perform as much as it "looks".
