headliners are a breeze. Pull the old one down. Jo anne fabrics carry's a nice vinyl with a foam backing that is almost stock replacement. Then just get some appropriate adhesive and cut to size. Also cheap to do it this way

colorizing ( finishing ) 3003 H14 Aluminum dash
ToplessZ replied to Ferd/289's topic in Body Kits & Paint
Powdercoating has become relativly cheap and easy and id say it would be a good durable choice. I would think spray in bedliner would be good. Not the cheap 3m stuff but something like rhino liner or the sem version. The cool thing about the bedliner is you can buy the tintable version and it can be mixed with any urethane or lacquer paint for custom colors. That is what I would do. Good luck -

Tokico HP struts NEED INFO
ToplessZ replied to ToplessZ's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Another question will these struts place any limits on how much I can lower the car that I should know about. And what is the going rate for these. Thanks -
Does anyone have any experience on knowledge on the tokico hp blue struts. I can get them for a great price. Are they acceptable for coilovers with a fairly soft spring. I need a budget strut replacement that I can use on my coil over conversion. Thanks guys for the help

Ditto to painting in the bathroom the fart fan pulls even some pretty heavy paint fumes out in a couple hours and you can even tell anyone was painting in there.

You cant get it. It isnt sold anymore. And if you find somebody selling theirs expect to pay big for it. The closest one I think is the yz body kit from http://www.reactionresearch.com and you might find you like it even better. Good Luck Jared

He does have the Imsa body kit. Not the new style that has smaller flares like the ones MSA sells. He has the kit but the rear I have read in a past post that they were clearenced to allow for taller tires. I do like the way they look as I have the same body kit on my car. I will probably do the same thing

Anyone know how to effectivly remove a clear gummy adhesive (not sure what kind it is) from a clearcoated surface without damaging the finish? Thanks

I was curious if there was a good mix and match combo like certain ones being replaces for quitness vs certain ones for performance?

Just a reminder for some of you about my Z32 swap....
ToplessZ replied to KraZeeZX's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
Actually I dont remember the guys name but you werent the first. Someone else beat ya to it. However you are the first with the supercharger and you have one sweet car. Only thing I dont like is that crazy hood scoop but you did say it came out alot lower I hope its like 3 inches lower kinda big but just my .02 cant wait to see it finished. So how did things turn out with the shop that was working on your car. Did they make everything right or did you have to bite the bullet. Thanks for the updates -
Ok I admit Im a car magazine junkie just not much of the rice variety. I was looking through my newest issue of HOT ROD and found that wilwood makes some disk brake swap kits that include new aluminum hubs. Im not sure what car as I dont have the magazine in front of me but there is a whole article on it. Its in the Feb. issue. This caught my attention so I started looking for similar setups and then found that Heidt's Hot Rod front suspensions come with a polished aluminum hub option. If they are doing it they have tested it I am sure and I cant wait to see what other companies might already be doing the same thing. I think contacting these companies or researching to see what kind of aluminum alloy they are using would be a huge insight to this cause.

not a bad price but dont pay it. She wont be able to sell it for that to anyone else unless she gets lucky. Negotiate

check http://www.reactionresearch.com under the automotive section. There are some awesome kits there

yeah darn limited budget. I was thinking about building a 375-400 hp street engine then adding a 150 shot maybe only 100 but something to help give that little something extra every now and then Just looking at options at this point though. Im am also thinking about the goodwrench crate engine just as a runner for awhile than upgrading down the road

Well Im glad to hear all of pallnets parts were tested in a freezer and oven attached to vibrators and gauges. So tyson you tested his fuel rail by running it down the dragstrip and you say it held up fine. Im glad you tested before then so you knew you wouldnt be blown up on the way down the strip. Personally I dont give a flip about a fuel rail or a tb spacer. I think you guys expect too much. I also believe I was misunderstood. I think the products should be tested but not to the point of spending alot of money and doubling the cost of the part. I personally would agree to a waiver of some sort to release jsk of all liability after purchasing a product. You would be surprised how many aftermarked companies actually have a setup like this. The thermal expansion on these parts is probably going to be alot less then is being insinuated. The brakes are going to heat up and on a road coarse autox or similar even are going to heat up way more than street use. However only some of that heat will transfer to the hub and only in extreme use will it cause enough change to place stress on the bearings if any. We are not running the indy 500 in our cars and if you are I think you should be buying parts elsewhere.

This is exactly what im saying. I just want to hear some ideas and opinions not slams on credibility or engineering certifications. This is not getting us anywhere and is getting way to flustered to match the attitude of this board. Where are those brilliant minds I love to see picked. I like the Logo's to by the way. Looks better than a plain peice of barstock to me. Just my .02 I suggest any more posts actually be based on something technical. Not questioning abilities or quality at this point. What facts can we actually talk about. Anyone know of any failures of the stock hubs to this date. Does anyone agree with me that if something was to fail it would be a rusty hub that has stress cracked on a casting line. Notice on the stock Z hub that there are recesses in the casting all the way around. Now I think that a simplified smooth casted or machined hub would produce less oppertunity for stress cracks by evenly distributing the load as opposed to a stock hub which as far as I know has also always done fine.

Ok heres the deal What are my possibilities on a limited budget. I have a tpi setup a 400 block and the option to either go with some 64cc trickflow heads or some 70cc edelbrock rpm heads. I want the max performance on 92 octane and need some sample builds with hp tq figures. Pro's and cons of each of those heads...maybe even some personal experience. Also need to add that a upgraded base and runners and larger throttle body may be in the near future. Thanks for any help guys

Alright breathe everyone. I have to say juan keep the faith. Secondly I think you should arrange a sort of waiver for the products so they are sold as "use at your own risk." I would seriously talk to mikelly off the board on this subject and maybe pick his brain for some business practices ideas and experiences that he could share with you. Not saying to not test them but to cover yourself and to help keep cost down. I think that your Testing on other products has been creative. Why dont we see if any pro racers would have any ideas on how to test your parts. If juan were to spend a couple of thosand dollars on r&d then making the few custom orders requested would never be worth it. I see several options here. One stick with stock. Two go with a jerry rigged non fitting 300zx hub or use the adapters and spacers which seems to me the worst of the 3 options and then finally just use four lug and get some custom wheels made and for Gods sake hope those done desinigrate while driving down the highway.

still have yet to hear any specifics on what could lead to part failure. What could be problem areas of this part? Im not pointing any fingers here but if I was juan I would have already quite trying here....sheesh guys. Mikelly very wall said and I am very sorry you left the part making business as I really wanted your components.
