  1. oops, I meant mark the nut and pinion stub from the 3.54. sorry.
  2. yeah, simple flange swap and yes, impact gun to get it off. mark the nut and pinion stub from the 3.7 with white out or paint to get it close when you tighten it down with the impact gun.
  3. sounds like you have a welded differential.
  4. pinion flange is the same for turbo manual or automatic. You'll need to use the pinion flange on your 3.7 rearend for the 3.54
  5. If there is resistance at the spindle pin pivot and the strut tube, leave them alone. If you take the assembly out and the strut tube flops over, then it's time for replacement.
  6. You'll need the driveshaft for the manual transmission.
  7. auto bellhousing won't work.
  8. when the old ones break? There really isn't a correct answer for that.
  9. Here is bryan little's site. http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/z.html Why don't you have the bronze seats replaced by hardened seats? I had that done with the n42 I had.
  10. Using nuts and washers to help strengthen the stud and be able to adjust the ball so the lever won't hit the edges of the shift rod cut out.

    is this legal??

I would be more interested in the rockets and missiles.
  12. Well, now you changed everything. I didn't go with the mms adapters, I went with zxt/2+2 tripods and wheel flanges that would fit on the 240. If I decide to change I would go with the mms flange. As far as what axle I would use for that, I would probably stick with the tripods I have now.
  13. Get the half shafts along with the stub axles out of a 280z or 280zx non turbo that has the r-200. Get the differential pinion flange from a 280z or 280zx r-200 as long as the 280zx wasn't a turbo.

    r200 install

The 3.9 with a turbo is a bad idea. You have to shift before the turbo has a chance to spool. Ask sleeperZ
  15. I lost my junior firemans badge, I think he stole it.
  16. I was able to keep the strap on and had no problems bolting everything up. Glad you got it worked out.
  17. just how much metal flake is in that paint?
  18. Is it rusted on the case? or through the whole bearing? There should still be a number on one of the bearings. You could probably take the measurements and search on http://www.mcmaster.com/ integrated steel ball thrust bearing, shielded.
  19. Not sure of the number, but is the old one bad? These don't wear like other parts since they are packed well with grease and are pretty much sealed from the weather.
  20. Are you still using the chrome trim pieces? If not you should. They help the gasket keep its shape in the corners.
  21. Had a z club drive to a museum featuring datsun cars for the winter. Here are a few pics, I'll link them since they are so big. 1st roadster ( some people need to use more sunscreen ) writeup on 1st roadster Try glancing at the name of the city and say it without thinking. 1st roadster 2+2 2+1 2+1 writeup some of the cars that made the trip 2000 nice paint
