  1. nothing like bringing up a year old thread. He might have already made up his mind on the car.
  2. not sure if this will help, but it a lot of useful info in general about the mini lathe and mini mill. http://www.mini-lathe.com/
  3. Everytime my work gets a new purchaser 1- they always want to "save" the company some money. 2nd, they got a good deal on the blades because they fit the arbor. Not all people think about the right blade for the saw. Their first consideration is price after they figure out if it will fit. The higher speed blades are reinforced much more than the low speed blades.
  4. Make sure the blade is rated for the max speed of the saw.
  5. Can't forget '82. all day saturday I was just watching out the window as the cars slowly got covered up. Sunday morning I started shovelling. The only thing I could see of the el camino and 510 were the antennea and the upper corners of the roofs. I chained up the el camino and was out and about sunday afternoon. The bad thing were the bumps in the middle of the highway where the sand trucks dumped the salt/sand mixture stayed and froze where it was dropped. That wouldn't have been so bad if the temps hadn't stayed in the single digits for 2 weeks.

  7. Don't forget about the letter stamp on the distance pieces and strut housings.
  8. The pueblo track has been revamped a bit for the scca this year. curbing and corner station work. Ever since 2nd creek closed last yr, pueblo had to fix up the track for club use. All the corner had concrete apex curbing. That is a fun track, high speed, elevation changes, one blind spot on the track coming up over a hill.
  9. It's all about the driver. The owners wife was at the wheel and it was the first time on the track for both of them. It wasn't an all out race event. It was an informal HPDE put on by David Muramoto, the motorsport editor for nissan sport magazine. $100 for a full day at the track. All of which went directly to the track. 9 350z's, 1 240 and an audi suv made it out on the track. http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?T=1&S=11&Z=13&X=1319&Y=10597&W=3&qs=%7cpueblo%7ccolorado%7c

If you still have a regular auto in your zx, then you won't notice a difference. The gearing is exactly the same. The difference between the turbo auto box and the n/a auto box is the number of clutch packs. The turbo has an extra one for 2nd gear. If you want to stick with the auto and need a new transmission then warren has it. Go to http://www.carfiche.com/ and download the '82 factory manual. It will have a breakdown and gearing for the automatic.
  16. looks like a late 80's accord.

  20. very small 4 cyl with a handle attachment so you could take it out and carry it with you. It held 3 quarts of oil 2 of which was in the oil filter. Earlier ones were carbed, the later got EFI. the carbed version got very good mileage. About 45mpg with 10 cases of coors and 2 adults from denver to gault/lodi/stockton.
  21. It could be a 280zx 2+2 as well. The tell will be in the diffy flange. The turbo had different measurements for the pilot hole and bolts. The thing on the back of the cover is the rear mount for the 280zx. It will bolt up to the r-200 mustache bar. edit,, oops, I guess I wasn't as clear. Take off the rear diff mount, the covers are the same.
