I pushed the piston all the way in and it does not even come close to the clutch fork, and when I bleed it, the piston comes all the way out...makes me think my clutch fork is bent or I have the wrong type of slave. 73 240Z 4 speed
What causes the slave to come all the way out of the bore when I push in my clutch pedal? System is bled, pedal is adjusted within tolerance according to the FSM. I bought a NAPA brand slave and have maybe 20 miles on it.
Yes, it was more to ship it to me than the cost of the gasket. The fel pro looks just as good for a third of the cost. I guess I will just RTV a cork one...they seem to stay together when compressed
Well I just removed my front cover to replace the timing chain and of course my gasket ripped during removal, I put RTV on it and no leaks so far except the rear corner that was already leaking
I bought the eBay seat covers for mine with the Z logo and white embroidered stitching and they are very good quality. I have not installed them yet so I can't say anything on how they fit.
If it doesn't hurt to leave the insulation on the floor pans and paint over it, I am going that route. I just don't want to create a place for rust to live under that insulation.
I have mint floor boards in my 73, but I am having the bright idea to use POR-15 to better protect them prior to installing new carpet. How or what is the easiest way to remove the insulation, that I am guessing, was installed from the factory?
I have an 83 manual Turbo ECU. Will an automatic ECU work with a manual setup? 82-82 ECU should be the same, just not sure of the auto or manual trans.
