  2. I read that KYB struts (excel g) would not work with lowered springs. I am real interested in knowing if you have any issues.
  3. I have KYB strut cartridges, I can only use stock height springs
  4. Nice...my vision of my future setup
  5. What is the p/n? (If you have them). I could drive and pick them up, I am in ATL area all the time. Thanks Dave
  6. I am replacing stock struts and springs on my 73 240Z. I have the strut catridges already, but need new springs. If you have lowered or stock height, either is good. I am just looking for newer springs as mine are original and worn out...thanks.
  7. Search ATL craigslist, I saw one one there the other day
  8. If your slave is moving the clutch fork with no leaking, then it has to be the assembly of clutch components...have a look at the TOB and clutch fork...
  9. I put more pb blaster on the stub axle nut on my 83 donor car, nut will not break free...I need to get the car on a lift.
  10. Use a clear hose, my clutch slave came with one, but its the same size as one of those cheap brake bleeder kits from any of the auto part stores.
  11. No need to pump 10 times, press in clutch and open bleeder, release clutch and tighten before pedal returns to normal. Directions attached from a Chilton's guide.
  12. Sounds like bleeding issues, I replaced mine with the exact issues as you are having, once I bled the slave cylinder (correctly) it worked fine...
  13. Well gents the time has come. I am done with college and will be starting my turbo build...TOMORROW!!!!! If anyone can direct me to the most complete write-up on this site for the S30 L28ET swap I would appreciate that, I have found two write-ups so far, I just need some experienced opinions from members that have done a similar swap. I am just doing a basic 1983 L28ET swap into a 1973 240Z and will not have any kind of upgraded components until later down the road. I will also be using the complete drive train, but that is pretty straight forward for my mechanical abilities. My biggest concern is electrical components that I will need from the turbo car that need to be transferred to my 240Z. Guess you will see me posting the parts wanted section in the next few weeks.
  14. I had an 89 240SX hatchback, awesome car, it handled well. It was never comparable to a Z, but I did like the flip up head lights. It was really comfortable to drive, just slow compared to other cars I've had.
  15. I had a crossfire, if you are over 5'8", it is real uncomfortable to drive. The gas tank is right behind the seats and the seats do not go back very far because of that. My $.02
  16. Nice clean turbo engine, I am shooting for a similar setup on my 73
  17. And I started removing the N/A engine... to make room for the Turbo
  18. I put my front wheels back on cause my floor jack lost pressure and my front end was about two inches from hitting the ground
  19. I bought the bracket that mounts the cables to the tunnel instead of the console
  20. Are they the same as a 240Z? If so I have a used set and a new set from my car.
  21. Pretty sad, maybe a list of VINs could be kept on this site somewhere for reference. Zs are going to be a collectors item in the next decade...would be nice to have a free history report on built Zs.
  22. ^and built specifically for these series of test...and yes that is a nice 240Z
