  1. Try Northern autoparts, they have great prices and good service. Chris
  2. Guys, this is becoming a very rare car in europe, you have to remember that. Do not bore that block, unless it is needed, i have the matching L24 and it is getting re build to stock and bored due to wear, i got it bored .020 over so there is plenty to go up a size if needed. If you want more power, slap in another motor, but keep that matching one or your car will loose value. Chris
  3. I have asked him for some parts a few times, he replied that he didn't have what i was looking after, i think that if he is a scammer, he would have tried to sell me something he don't have, if you get my point. However i have no experience buying from him. Chris
  4. If you de stroke your L26 with L24 crank and rods you will have a L24, no more no less and you can't install L28 pistons unless you have your block bored out, the L24/26 have a stock bore of 83 and L28 have a 86 m.m. bore. What about searching after a 2.8 patrol engine it is also a L28, then you can de stroke it with L24 rods and crank. Why a .040 over bore instead of .020 ? If your L26 is the matching engine then you should stick with it and search after a L28, maybe there is some from europe having a container shipped from US or you can search ebay.de, they show up once in a while. Chris
  5. I'm not positive on this but i seem to remember 1 fast Z telling something about not putting in bigger valves, correct me if i'm wrong, 1 fast Z. If you want to use the car for street and live in Norway, i would recommend you not to go with a cam that is to big, you will need low end touqe and as far as i remember the 40 Dellorto's will run out of air at 6500 RPM on a 2.8. I also have a set of 40 Dellorto's and i think they look and sounds great, but when it comes to that build i think the SU's will be just fine, they should handle a little above 200 HP, witch i think will be close to what you can expect with that build. I'm not a guru or wise ass on this subject, all i know comes from using the search function and reading this and other forum's and of course my "How to" Datsun bible. There is one selling some E31 heads on zcar.com, so if you want to have it build in US, it will be cheaper buying one of those, than shipping yours from Norway. Chris
  6. I'm lurking here, i'm considering the same build just with a E30 head. Chris
  7. If the head you have is from a L26 then try to look at the cam and see what it's stamped, if it have a C stamp you have a slight bigger cam, if you by chance have 2 cams you can send the other out for re grind, it's less than $100 at Delta. Please take a look here: http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/cam/index.htm Chris
  8. I'm not sure if this is right but i have read someplace that using the needles from the flat top in a set of round top should be an improvment, you have the parts so why not try it. Chris
  9. Jacob80 are you using the ZX oil pan ? Chris
  10. Search classiczcar, there have just been a thread covering this. Chris
  11. Hi all, i just read this thread and thought that i would share. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=32275 Chris
  12. Beandip on classiczcar have a yellow Z Look it up Chris
  13. I have this on all my PC's and on my cell, taken on a vacation trip, i guess that it is my "brand"
  14. If you want a cam a little bigger than the stock, i would recommend you to look after a C stamped cam from a 260Z Chris
  15. 5.75$ a gallon here, rough calculated, 95 octane Chris
  16. I will also wote for the orange and i think there is way to many parts missing for the black one, believe me when i say that you will spend a shite load to get all those parts, unless there is more parts than what is on in the bow in the photo. Calm down there is many other Zeds out there, be patient and the right one will come, so far i have spend 1½ from i started to look and until i got it home. My z is in a way better condition, no rust at all and there have never been any body work made on it, motor needs re build due to worn pistons, misc parts is missing (less than 100$) and i paid 1300$. I suggest you put on your poker face and offer 1500 on the orange. Good luck Chris
  17. Are there anyone who knows why i cant get in contact with Delta cams, i have tried to mail them several times, asking for grind specs and prices, but they don't reply my mails. Who else do re grinds on stock cams? Chris
  18. i think i rember you telling that you would send out your bumpers to be powder coated, is it powder coat or real chrome? Chris
  19. http://www.zcluboftexas.org/128combo.html I wont tell you to search, but there is alot of infos on strokers, if you look around.

    Rd28

Well i think i got my question answered, LD28 also came in 280C (cedric) Both Patrol and Laurels came with RD28, maybe some older models had the LD28, worth digging in to. Chris

    Rd28

Have any of you any experience with the RD28 motor, it is used in some Patrol, Laurel and Cedric models, the bore and stroke is similar to the LD28, so I'm wondering if the block is the same as LD28 and if the crank is a V07 and can be used for a stroker. Chris
