  1. Don't know why it won't let me edit. But that note is only for 280z's because our bumper brackets are different from the 240z. You'll be fine.
  2. I got it back a couple weeks ago and been meaning to take better pictures as the work wasn't up to par unfortunately. The body shop just slapped it on so it looks like a cap. Initially what was discussed was to cut out the exact tracing of the roof to make it flush with the rest of the body. I'll take detailed photos of where I have to finish off the work and blend the rest into the car. The epoxy seems to be chipping off also so I'm going to have to redo some areas with resin.
  3. I totally understand your view. I'm personally the same way with my personal parts. But... when a good majority of the board are running Rotas or AR's or Other banana spoke style wheels that aren't Watanabe's, they aren't too concerened about JDM authenticity. To each his own.
  4. Hey guys, As you all know Marugen Shokai is known to have really high quality ZG style flares. I wanted to gauge who would be interested in a 3D scanned replica set of the flares. RHD is selling them for $260USD plus shipping from Japan. I'll be shipping from Canada but not exactly sure how I'd price it. It all depends on the interest level. More or less around $240. Doesn't seem like much of a difference but you'd be saving on the shipping from Canada rather than Japan. Now I also wanted to gauge on who would be interested in a set of universal style flares. Pricing will approximately be about $175USD. These won't fit as flush as the Marugen Shokais but the price difference reflects that. Now how many of you guys would be willing to pre-order or possibly a group buy? Check us out on Facebook also. 5. Im not V8 swapped but i'm lower than a benz key from the subframe. Exhaust hangs slightly lower
  6. Arif ones own. Maybe give him a PM
  7. Thanks for the link! I still trying to justify paying that amount for the hood ahaha I'm really curious now with the Seibon hoods. I think the nature of the design is what's causing the heavy hoods. Top Stage is using dry carbon instead of wet carbon like everyone else.
  8. I can't seem to find a link to the hood from Topstage. Do you know how much?
  9. Yup. Also, the way the CF roof was designed, it hides under the windshield mouldings. So there'll be some extra support from that PLUS the bonding. Body shop said they'll be done by the end of the month. Pretty nervous as the roof is VERY fragile. I stopped by the garbage disposal place today and had my old sunroof and excess metal weighed. Total weight was 22lbs. So with this roof I'll be saving a total of about 13lbs. Just an FYI.
  10. Technology has advanced since the initial post. I didn't feel like starting a new thread if one with decent info already exists. So does anyone have more experience with Lexan on street cars? Im about to have my seals replaced and they can't guarantee that the 40yr old glass won't crack. So while I'm at it, I wouldn't mind going Lexan to shed some weight. My main concern would be being scratch resistant. I polish my windshield heavily once a month so I don't mind maintenance at all. But if we're talking DEEP scratches then I may just stick with glass.
  11. Got it from FRP automotive. This set me back about $1100 CAD. I waited about 5 months for this and really bugged them aha so if you're in a rush, I would suggest just grabbing the FRP one they also sell.
  12. Just wanted to share my new carbon fibre sunroof delete Just got it today so its not installed yet. Will be taking it to the body shop this week.
  13. No reply from them lol. But I managed to snag a hatch. Now for the doors.
  14. Awesome! I will give them an email. Thanks!
  15. Anybody know any other recent source of CF parts other than the guys below? http://retrospec-datsun.blogspot.ca/?m=1 http://www.restored.jp/english240z260z.html http://www.spiritgarage.com/product-group/1 http://otomoto.mobile034.com/Listing/search?keywords=240z&searchType=2&sortItem=7&sortDirection=0 I'm having difficulty looking for a Hatch and full doors. I know Otomoto has the hatch but they're in AUS. Shipping is gonna be a pain but if I have to then I have to. It also seems like their hatch is sourced from Restored Japan (who has the doors) but they don't seem to be replying to my email LOL.
  16. Why are you only rubbing on the passenger side? What's your current suspension setup?
  17. That was a rocket bunny s13 you saw. Full kit for it
  18. +1 with Hypertek. Most people, even on HybridZ, are more than happy with replica wheels, cheapest fender flares possible and whatever fender mirrors they can find.
  19. Most of the guys on here won't bag their Z's. The one's who really want to lay frame already have found simple ways. Like this guy for example IMO, I believe that there is no market for a bolt-on air ride. BUT I do believe there might be a small niche for one's who want a cup-kit for their coilovers.
