After seeing a couple of clips of you on youtube, I do think a request of videos would be suitable eventually. >_> Yah know?
-
I agree, when I was researching before my build I decided to stay back with a 3.1L rather than a 3.2L because at that point block integrity may be questionable, and thats for a hot street motor. He's out there hounding down on a 3.1L for a couple of hours and I can see stuff happening. Well... in all racing, **** happens, but thats besides the point. I think its the N42 block that has the... non webbed cylinders and the F54 has the webbed or something like that. I forget but one of them is claimed to be more suitable than the other when it comes do overboring, heavy racing, and regidity. I'm more so curious about Greg's findings rather than his setup with the o-scope which may be private. The block is iron so I would say just go look up the natural frequency of iron but I think manufacturers mix nickel and other **** into them too. And for what Daeron is saying,I would agree but thats a lot of forks....

Yah I'm running a Megajolt system which is a branch off of Megasquirt but without the fuel injection. Its about the size of a cigarette box and it runs the EDIS setup with your choice of MAP or TPS. I have the TPS version and can sell you that too since I would like to try out the MAP version. EDIS + Megajolt system was a little under $200 for me I do believe.
-
Dum-bass whatever happened to your project. :[ I've been oogling over a supercharger for a while but want to see more!
-
Theres the EDIS-6 system which gets rid of the distributor all together and runs off of an ECU, MSD, HEI, Mallory, Kameari (but good luck affording that if you already are having problems), individual coil packs and that all I can name off. If you want you can buy my setup, its an electronicdizzy with the HEI module and coil all wired up ready to go for less then $100 which should do the trick especially with the crane hi-6, it has vacuum advance too. Speaking of, if you do an EDIS or coil pack setup I don't think you can use the crane hi-6, there is also no point in using MSD since you already have an ignition box. Vacuum advance is usually capped off or distributors are bought with only mechanical advance for racers because you aren't spending the majority of your time at idle or low rpms really. PS: Post a video of your car, I'm curious to see what it sounds like.

Here's a picture of the bearings on my customers U20... He complained of a knocking noise plus it ran like crap. From what I remember all the bearings were raped in his motor, even the jackshaft bearings so one must've gone out and debris into the oil maybe. However, piston #4 was starting to melt so it could have been several things I guess, I didn't build the motor before so what do I know. >_< Your bearings look like his? So I assume everything else is just fine in the motor or did you have problems in several other places too?
-
I didn't look at your user name until now... If you're who I think you are then I don't think any of your motors would be sketchy, therefore I have absolutely no idea what to think now. I didn't know they allowed crankfire ignitions in the class you're in.
-
That or your setup was out of balance... by a lot. Maybe a mixture of bearing, wrong clearance, and balancing...
-
Ok so wait... You're driving around with the magnet in your pan still? >_< DOAH! My face palm moment was when I installed the rear main cap backwards and had to face my dads large hand hitting me outside the head for a stupid mistake. I have many more involving steering rack boots and wrestling those bastards for hours.

Holy **** its beautiful! I always liked the rotaries, I think they would be way cool in a 510 but a 4 rotor is not only terribly expensive to build/buy, I'm not sure if it would fit in a 510. A 3 rotor looks pretty cramped in there. No, I would refuse to put a rotary in a Z, even if it was a 4 rotor. A Z needs an inline 6 cylinder motor in my mind. Here you guys go! Dyno (this and the preview of the car was all I ever thought of): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjIslUYZbHQ Fly by: Slow boring fly by at Fuji but its wet so understandable: Then there is this dude who just went nutso and built his own. Not only is the guy nutso, the car is too. It sounds like Big-Phil has been talking to him when you hear what he says at 3:05. Haha, I do love Big-Phil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNK6qVX-6AI Have fun with those videos, there are plenty more videos of the 4 rotors in race cars and stuff.

Yah no kidding, if the song is being played for background music I would think of it as advertising as long as you have credits for the record label and artist. My main problem is figuring out how to contact Google to see what I'm expected to do. Its expected for me to delete these videos but they already have been deleted so what is there left to do and why do I keep getting the nasty mail from them when ITS NOT THERE. I'm calling their headquarters/offices tomorrow or Monday. I can't afford to lose this email account.
-
Yah, I made it a point to mention Youtube, guess I didn't on here. All my youtube videos are fine, no music involved. This most recent one has a radio in the background since I had it turned on when I shot the video, if thats an issue then I can delete it. Every email they have sent has been about a video that has been deleted and I have no one to contact other than that stupid forum. Basically I'm viewing this as my account is a ticking time bomb if I can't get any contact info for Google... unless they just run out of videos to ***** about, which they may but I do remember mixing a lot of school projects and stuff to music and then uploading it on there so I can access them at school... They have a section for "filing a dispute" to "receive more contact information on the owner of the material" however look what it says right under it... "If, on review, the alleged copyright holder believes that your video infringes on its rights, expect that they will file a notification of alleged infringement under Section 512©(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act." If I speak up, guess what, I get owned. DOAH!

Alright, I had a bunch of videos in my Google account. I had received one email on copyright infringement issues about a video, I delete it. I received a second one on another video, so I delete it, however I was getting tired of these emails about videos I don't care about anymore so I went ahead and cleared out ALL of my videos in the account. This was a couple of weeks ago I might add. I have now received 3 more emails! I don't even have videos on my account and I received 3 infringement emails! They give you the title of the video and yes, I do recognize those titles but I deleted everything so what the hell?! I don't want to get so many of these things that they shut down my account because I do my business, my school work, all my log ins through this email. I'm finding it extremely unfair that I can't find any email address for Google Video support. They link you to a forum which no one uses so your questions never get answered! Any ideas on how to stop this madness?!

I have been collecting many more: -
What year are they from and what would you want for just the guides. I don't think my problem is this the regulator, I think its the guides. Do you have the "rollers", they're labeled as "glass bampers" in the diagram? This is what my window is doing (: So as you can see, I just need tracks, and the rollers.

The Civic isn't going, its tranny is dead and its an automatic anyways. Dad has the same model but manual 5 speed. It has 300,000 miles though and I think it needs a new water pump... Answer is, no. -

Alright guys tell me this... Thursday its suppose to rain again so I can't really do much of anything besides finish sanding and wait. Super 7 race is Saturday. Should I just get everything sanded, put my lights back in, hood on, and go out there or should I just forget the weekend. I'm having a seriously hard time letting a free race day go thats why... -
I have a 1972 240z however the drivers door was replaced with some other year door. I think someone said '75-'76 fits 240's but I'm seeing in a manual that all doors from 70-78 are the same. Whatever the case is, my window won't roll up properly. I'm mainly looking the 3 tracks that mount to the door, there is a 4th one that is on the glass which I don't need. Also, at the top edge of the door there are rollers which sit between the outer panel and the glass to keep the glass from rattling around, I need 2-4 of those too. EDIT: One book shows 3 tracks the other is showing 2 on the door. I'll take all tracks except for the one at the bottom edge of the glass. I'll need numbers 1,2, and 3. If the price is right I will also take the crank regulator too. Thanks guys.

I wiped a booger on my moms car. It has dried and now she has 35 year old paint on her car too. I think for the under side of the hood, valence, inside of hatch, doors, I'll just scuff up and spray bomb black. Will people really say "the underside of your hood looks crappy" honestly? No. With that said and done all I have to do is the roof, the outside of the hatch, and the rockers. Then I have to take the hatch off, no biggy, but what I'm scared of is the door handles. I need to take them off and I'm worried they won't work properly once I'm done...
