  1. Sorry dude, I've been really lazy and have not brought the turbo into work with me, or taken my caliper home. I will get around to it eventually and you'll be the first to know when I do so.
  2. The cooler is off of a Volvo XC90. I just grabbed it from my work from the warrantee room. The brackets that are connected to it are factory, I just bent them up a little bit to make 'em work with where I mounted it. I also welded on -6 male bungs to the end of it to run the Stainless line. I am not running a fan on mine at all. I also run this same cooler on my 1971 Chevy C20 truck.
  3. No idea really. I would guess somewhere in the 25 - 2,600lb range?
  4. Congrats! 130+ is moooovin. Esp at only 8 psi! up the boost and it'll be a whole new beast. I'm thinking... 140+mph.
  5. I have -8 feeding into the driver side rail, crosses over to the passenger side rail, then hits the regulator before returning back to the tank. As long as you have the pressure side of the regulator feeding the rails and the return side of the regulator going back to the tank, you'll be good.
  6. The little thing on the stock fuel rail that looks like a fuel pressure regulator, is not a fuel pressure regulator.
  7. I have had some issues with them in the past too. But in the end, they've come through. Just took a really long time...
  8. when I was trying to install mine after removing the trans to install my trans brake. I realized that the new separator plate between the valve body and the trans hung out a tad further then the old plate did. This was blocking the dip stick tube from sliding all the way in. Try sticking your finger in the dip stick tube hole and see if you can feel anything blocking the path of the tube from entering. What I did to get mine in was Grind a flat edge onto the dip stick tube so it was able to clear the piece of plate sticking out. No problems since. Hope that helps.
  9. It was quarter mile, yes. Not to bag on the car or anything, but it did not produce any impressive times. I don't remember exactly but best time may have been a high 12? BigDeez may know better then I do.
  10. Ya he's had it for sale for a little while now. I saw the car racing up at Fontana several months back.
  11. Well not a huge update, but its something. I installed a transbrake into the car and took it out to the track again. Managed to get a best of 6.7 @ 101 with a 1.49 60ft. I don't know whats up with the MPH, but I like the E/T!!! I'm probably going to throw the car on the dyno in the near future to do a little tuning. I'm also having problems with the car leaning out at the track. Need to give that a little attention also.
  12. When I had the 6 spd in my 240Z, best I ever did with freeway only driving was about 30mpg. Now with the TH350, high stall converter, turbo, and biggie injectors I get about 9mpg. Maybe 12 on the freeway..
  13. I did run the V2 with stock 243's and made 411hp. When I swapped to the ported 5.3 head I also swapped the cam over to the MS3 at the same time.. Wish I would have just kept the V2 cam in there.
  14. Texas-speed offers fully ported 5.3's with dual valve springs and larger valves installed. Reasonably priced for brand new, no core, ready to go heads.
  15. With my Sanderson Headers, 2.5" Y pipe into a single 3.5" and a Torquer V.2 cam, my car dynoed 411 to the wheels.
  16. When I swapped a TH350 into my car after running a T56, I was able to reuse the slip yoke since both T56 and TH350 are the same spline count. I have the shorter tail shaft TH350 so I had to get my shaft extended. If your trans is the same dimensions as a T56, once you've got the motor / trans installed I would throw it up in there to test the fitment. Might get lucky and not have to change it. I use to run my stock 240Z fuel tank for a little while before I swapped to a fuel cell. I would imagine the 280's tank is better suited for fuel injection set ups. Just need a better pump, like a Walbro. I also used the same X member with my TH350 as I used with the T56. Just had to drill a new hole in the member to accommodate the TH350 mount. And had to move the member further forward. Before: After:
  17. No problem, glad to hear that you figured out a problem!! Let us know how it goes after the repair.
  18. Don't feel bad. On my LS1 I use to run a Torq V2 cam, LS6 intake, 243 heads, single 3.5" exhaust and ran a 7.0 @ 102 in the 1/8th mile. After that, I swapped on Stage2 5.3 heads from TSP, swapped cam to MS3, Fast 92/92, also swapped Exhaust to a Dual 3" with an Xpipe. Could NOT get better then a 7.0 @ 100mph That was on a good day. Average was 7.1 - 7.2 @ 98. Depressing.... Dynoed 411 with the first set up. Didn't even want to know what it would dyno with all the new stuff.
  19. What kind of event was this? Glad to hear no fires took place.
  20. Be sure to let us know the outcome of this event!!! I'll pray for you, and your new fuel rail brackets. Good luck!
  21. What year is that LS1?? Looks like an early one. Keep up the good work!
  22. In my Z, I am running a 5.3 long block with LS6 intake, You need the LS1 balancer, water pump, alternator and alternator bracket. The 5.3 block is missing a threaded hole on the front where the alternator bracket bolts onto, but you can make it work. pretty much everything else bolts over directly. I picked up the 5.3 long block for my Z for 350$ came with some stuff, but all I am using on it is the short block. Hell, mine even had water in a few of the cylinders when I popped the heads off. And now its taking a hell of a beating with boost on it.
