  1. Yeah, 2 chamber flowmaster, 10.3:1, cam and 7000rpm+ on a N/A car, can't get much better.
  2. But technically the cam out of P90A having 4 deg advance from the factory, would it not peak power earlier than P90 head with P90 cam? (stock to stock)which mean less power?
  3. try to keep 10 digits. Well, at least now I know that I'm not the only one. I drilled my leg Monday. Thanks god for doll drill bit and thick skin.
  4. Just add a thought. I don't think the P90A cam was really engineered as a hydro lifter cam. I know 4 deg in advance (which will peak the power earlier than other turbo cam) but other than that the spec is indentical to P90 cam. If the cam is high ramp lift (I don't know the correct term) design after solid rocker lifter cam, then the load is high and the cam will press hydro lifters. At least some. Blah, blah, blah
  5. I wouldn't say supra IC is crap. But can't beat aftermarket IC for sure
  6. I can tell you what I made. As much if not more power out of P79/L26 combo than P90/F54. First, on 8:1 compression made 208RHP@8-9psi before it went too lean on Stock N/A ECU with turbo injectors and BTM. (on stock turbo) Then, made 253RHP on 12psi on 60-1. the compression was 7.8:1 after HKS headgascket. So that's close to stock turbo motor compression.
  7. there are thermal efficiency paints that can help the heat transfer. other than that, I wouldn't paint it.
  8. http://www.alamomotorsports.com/products.html?http://www.alamomotorsports.com/hks_acg.html I found it
  9. Yes, it'll rust eventually.
  10. turbo AFM got 3inch inlet outlet rather than 2.5 inch or whatever.
  11. Well, this might be one reason why the Mitsu head can turn higher rpm even with hydro. lifters Check out the size and it is a roller rocker. Anyway, the lifter failure is common on the earlier 4G63 head. and Mitsubisho did revise the lifters with larger holes. But 4G63 got good oil flow throught the head.
  12. The heater in the Z make phsss sounds when you switch over to top vent
  13. well, bigger passegage will drop the pressure. PLus too much pressure/flow of oil on the head will starve the bottom end. I guess you can go with Turbo auto oil pump and shimmed about two washers and it might take care that though. Like I said, with modorate turbo set up, There isn't much point turning the motor more than 6k.
  14. P79 is round port. P90/P90A are square. P90A prolly do fine with stock cam considering the power peaks at 5500rpm or so. Shifting around 6000rpm. I've heard P90A doesn't like much over that.
  15. yap, j/k I just think it really doesn't make that much difference until you start making serious HP. like 300-400RHP. IMO That P90 should flow, I did some work on it. 8)
  16. Have you seen how premetive the P90A lifters are? That's why. I ran P79, and I made power, and I'm sticking to it.
  17. Well the piston doesn't take all the heat until you detonate. That's my understanding. As long as EGT stay up, the pistons are staying cooler, when your EGT drives down under WOT, the heat is being transfer to internals like valves and pistons
  18. that cam rocked with straight up with stretched timing chain and 10.3:1.
  19. I think it's my 3rd time today visiting that webpage
  20. anything over 1620 coming out of the EGT isn't going to be good I was told.
  21. You would need a turbo oil pump off autimatic zxt. I would shim it too. You also need my 60-1 ARP head studs you can get from Summit racing cheap.
  22. .48 AR is small for a L28ET. You should stick with .63 AR. Other than that, I would go with 50, 57, 60 trim, (or 60-1 if you dare) in either T04E or B housing with Stage III turbine.
