  1. Yea, it was yellow with a weird brown primer/bondo on the hood. Now I have all the guts, and someone from Appleton has the 240Z shell.. Should be interesting.
  2. I just drove through Co on Saturday, I sure wish I had a turbo period. I think you'd be better off keeping a low compression ratio and just cranking up the boost. It is far easier to back off boost than compression. <-- my 2 cents.. lol coming from a guy who has a 11.1:1 V8..
  3. Never get sick of watching videos like that.
  4. I just spent 5 min looking through the pics for the middle aged female... lol
  5. Im back! No big problems at all... Except for driving so long I was hallucinating..
  6. Bye bye.. hopefully the next time I post, I will have lots of pictures from the trip.
  7. Thanks guys, I'd better get some sleep, but I'm pretty anxious.
  8. 100%.. The 240Z that I bought was for parts, it had a 6 litre LQ9 motor, T56 Trans, and an R200, plus other goodies. But I sold the body to make me work on the other project.. lol yeah... Okay!!! how about a 240Z airbox/filter. I noticed this one doesn't have one. I know theres a few guys out there with RB's in Z's I'd like to check one out.. damn.. so little time.
  9. Keep it pretty subtle, nothing that I have to rip the whole car apart to do, I've done that enough. Clean up the interior and exterior. Engine compartment clean-up. Flares maybe. RB26. Simple stuff.
  10. Well, tomorrow morning I'm flying out to LA to pickup a 260Z. I know there are closer cars, but this seems like a good adventure, hopefully. I had my friend, whom also decided on a whim to go to LA, stop in and test drive it and check it out. Here are some videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFLpuNi6vSs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swPzhtwc3HQ The drive back is a tick over 2000mi. I'm hoping I can leave Friday morning, and get to Wisconsin By Saturday night. Wish me luck. So far I've bought; 260Z - Chicago, IL - 170mi 280Z - Oshkosh, WI - 5mi 240Z - Minneapolis, MN - 300mi And now.. omg 260Z - Carson, CA - 2086mi...
  11. *Pontiac* "Wider is better..." Probably 14mm for the bumper.
  12. I did plan on working a lot next week as I have off work. I was going to pick up another bottle of MIG gas, but the welding store is closed.. so I guess I wait till Monday. Currently looking at buying wheels and a set of IMSA fiberglass fenders.
  13. Either of them, except use a surge tank in the engine compartment. My fuel cell, with the anti slosh material inside would still starve the fuel pump on certain corners. A surge tank is a sure way to go with a stock tank, or fuel cell.
  14. Bad time to be a celebrity.. Yeah, Vince may have offed him.
  15. Sorry, but I had a good laugh at your reaction after that backfire. LOL
  16. Just tell her they make more every day.. wives that is..
  17. Yeah, that motor pulls the 3400lb car fast, imagine it beefed up in a Z. YAY..
  18. I just went to a NASCAR truck race yesterday in Milwaukee. It was a 200 mile race, and was getting a bit boring, until they had to do a restart, or when they were pitting that was interesting. At one time a plastic bag was floating hundreds of feet up in the air, I was looking around, and you wouldn't believe how many peoples attention was focused on the bag, not the race LOL.. Funny thing is, the bag ended up flying right at our seats and my brother in law caught the bag. LOL I was more interested in seeing what parts the cars had on them and stuff. I actually have the same rear Brembo brake caliper that they use on the nextel cup cars. I need a few more though.
  19. I have sold the trunion that I built to a member on the board. Look forward to him posting up a thread pretty soon. He's get it blasted and primed this weekend. Today I am getting a set of 15X12 slicks dropped off. Hopefully I will have to to do some welding today.
