Hey everyone! i was wondering, i read in a post that putting 17's on a 240z will set the speedometer off, is there any way to fix this problem? also, i know this is a common question, but i have not seen this exact situation: i have 17x7.5 rims with a 44mm offset. putting a 2inch spacer/adapter, will this fit inside the wheel well without flares, i think it should be fine, because the width isnt too much. any help is appreciated thanks

oh, correct me if im wrong, but i believe that it does serve a purpose, it helps guid the water away from the door and windows when it rains. i could be wrong but it looks like it would

Has anyone made a 240z cold air intake/air cleaner?
inlawZ replied to Astral Ace's topic in Fabrication / Welding
what do you guys think of these sketches? i know the top one will work, but will the bottom? as far as i know it doesnt matter since this will be the stock air box and the air gets in and will basically come from the same spot in front of the radiator, just using the bottom hole in box -
i have the half cover, and was thinking of using just a glue gun. it should hold, but be easy to peel off and clean off if needed.... any thoughts?

hey everyone i was able to go back to my home in scripps ranch after our mandatory evac, i just want everyone here to know if they need anything please pm me. i might not have exactly what you need but if i do, its yours. i have a baby daughter and she has a lot of clothes so if you cant pack your baby's clothes let me know. my daughter can spare some clothing to those who need it. formula and diapers even. best wishes. hopefully we dont have to evac again.

Hope everyone in San Diego and SoCal are doing okay.... My family was finally able to go back to our house in Scripps Ranch. Stay positive Dan... Best wishes to everyone. If anyone in here needs anything please pm me im safe and can help if i have what you need. i'd rather help people that really need it, not the ones that are taking advantage of free stuff. God bless, my prayers are with everyone...

please some suggestions. i now have cleaned the switch a few times, each time it gets all the turn signals to work, then after a few tests the right front and right dash turn lights dont work. i might not be cleaning it correctly. what i did was cleaned sodered wire areas with eraser, as well as wire connectors. then i cleaned the switch with electrical cleaner from radio shack. then like i said, it works then stops working. what else do i need to clean? also i changed the relay and i still have the same problem. please, any suggestions would be helpful. thanks

hey everyone, i was wondering if it is possible to use a newer z car switch. it is very difficult to find a 1971 240z switch in good condition, but i found so many 280z's that have good switches i was wondering if i can switch them out. or does anyone know how to rebuild a switch, maybe they can show me how to and maybe send pictures of step by step just so i know i am doing it right. thanks everyone

i started the wet sanding, honestly, the amount of work + $40 of rustoleum paint and thinner = shouldve bought actual car paint..... let me tell anyone thinking of doing this, looks better than 30yr old paint for sure, looks okay to drive around, but im not even in to shows or getting into magazines, and i really cn tell the difference. you can get a whole gallon of car paint on ebay in almost every color for under $50, do it. the rustoleum shows where it is sprayed more and not, car paint comes out even, even when its thicker in spots. i am glad i tried it, and would do it to an old car i didnt care about, but not a 240z again, im still going to get a new paint job within a month or 2.
