I had the same problem once, it turned out to be a blown fusible link... have you checked those yet?

yeah I noticed that s30s seem to have a lot more room, aslo, I hardly fit in a 90 300zx although the look bigger too, fit like a glove in my 280 with more leg room then need and Im 6'3"ish... Ive never been the driver of a 350 before so I cant comment on anything else

I feel that way about those and the JDM headlight covers... but thats cause Im a poor boy, maybe if I had millions with nothing better to buy?

Im going to let some of the more experienced members answer that because my comment was based on older threads... however I will give you a quote from scotti-gnz : We all accept any car that can do 0-60 in under 6-secs as being pretty quick. Most recently Chrysler unvieled the Tomohawk, a Viper V-10 powered motorcycle. They claimed 0-60 in 2.5-secs and I am willing to bet many in this thread would sh*t their pants if they mounted that thing and twisted the throttle. At Reynolds my car had a 60' of 1.49 and 6.621 @ 104.34 at the 1/8-mile. I plotted an acceleration curve from my datalogger and this is what it amounts to: 0-60 in 2.16-secs and 0-100 in 6.21-secs! Yes, it blows the Tomohawk away so you better believe this should scare you as much as riding that bike. Any Z-car with 500hp has that capability. More times than I like to recall I have left a stripe in my shorts launching my car and worse, almost losing it on the the top-end. That is with racing tires, IMHO a well setup suspension, on an enclosed racing circuit and with a healthy dose of respect for this beast. With that kind of power there is no margin for error.

600 HP N/A s30? talk about a burden to drive anywhere but the drag strip.

The fluid is a darkish red colour, still see through though but it is dark, and yes, it smells slightly "burnt" I will go buy new fluid and filter asap... and once again, thanks everybody.

Well I dont do that everyday. but after what happend I think I will start to really baby it and in the mean time gather parts for a 5 speed. and I will check the fluid asap, I dont know anything about that filter, how would I go about checking that?

are we talking about the boost controlled deceleration device? I have a friend with an s30, 76, his wasnt working, he couldnt go below a 2500, he simply took it off and is now fine, he gets an occasional backfire because of this though, try replacing it, Im pretty sure its called a boost controlled deceleration device...

today I get in my car, start it, put it into Drive (auto) and push the gas pedal, my engine revs but that car remains stationary, again, again, again... I try reverse, revs but again the car does not move... put the car back in park, turn off the car, start it again, and all is well, I put it in drive and drive home. what do you guys make of this, is it need for concern? should I make plans for a 5 speed swap?

I could have had a bad one today, I was grinding off some spot welds (the ones I asked you guys about), just trying to make it smooth, and then it hit me, yesterday I dropped the gas tank to take of a bumper shock... and for some reason I couldnt remember reconnecting the hoses... if that were the case there would have been a big boom.... bye bye face.
