Yesterday a 21 year old guy bought a 2004 Viper RT10 from the dealership I work at and he also bought a 2004 Hummer!!!! He wrote out a check for almost $200,000. He also told our parts counter to get every aftermarket accesory for the Viper that he can get to make it faster!!!! Now here's the "kicker"....he is dying of bone cancer and only has an estimated 6 months to live. He inherited all the money from his father who also died from bone cancer But the coolest part of the story is that he didnt put either vehicle in his name....he put the cars in his best friends name! Talk about a best friend! I dont know what I would do if a friend who was dying and he did something like this for me? Yeah it would be cool but having your best frind die is horrible! Oh and he is also going to Cancun with the Hummer and the Viper on a trailer behind the Hummer! Talk about chick magnets!!!!!!!! 8) Guy

A 350 to 383 is.....350 block, 400 crank, and .030" bored over A 350 to 396 is.....350 block, 400 crank, and .120" bored over Guy
-
Nope its a small block...If I'm not mistaken its a 350 block, 400 crank, and .120" bored over. Very expensive build due to the precision machining required to do .120" over on a 350 block. Guy

Dont bother with the LS6, spend the money you save from buying an LS1 and buy supercharger for the LS1. You will have more power and have the same if not less money into the engine. The LS6 would be more of a "$bling bling$" type of engine....just to say "yeah its an LS6" is not really worth it since its basically the same as the LS1. Its just like the LT4... same thing as the LT1's but only produce a little bit more power and are way over priced. Phantom when are you going to get a supercharger for yours! Guy

Yeah well pics will have to wait since the tires are special order I have to wait about 2 weeks before they come in. Thats ok cause the cars not going anywhere! LOL What kind of digital camera are you getting? Guy

Well I am finally going to be able to put my rims on my car this year! I just bought a set of 225/45/17 BFG g-Force T/A KD's I have had my rims since last winter but I couldnt afford tires for them since I had to buy other parts to finish the motor swap. These tires were $164.00 each! I told my GF that I was going to get tbe BFG Drag radial and that they were $135.00 each an she freaked out say "your going to spend $500+ on a set of tires that will only last like 5000 miles?" I was like "yeah, so?" So I decided that these were the next best thing, they last about twice as long but they cost a little bit more! I call it a compremise! LOL When I get back from my ski trip this weekend Im going to order the body kit from MSA also! Then I am starting on the body prep and body kit install! So I will deffinetly be finished with my car for the most part by spring!.........like anyone ever "finishes" a car like this(hybrid) So I am in more than a good mood! Guy

Just a reminder for some of you about my Z32 swap....
80LS1T replied to KraZeeZX's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
And thats all that matters! LOL -
Now I know what that looks like in there! I almost went with this motor instead of the LT1 but I am more familier with the SBC so I went with that for my first swap. All I know is I would have put some time into cleaning up the engine to make it look nice! I mean if you got the money for that engine then spend a little time to make it look nice! Guy

As Homer Simpson would say "Doooohhhhhhhhhh!!!" Yeah I ordered the GM (65-up) 0-90 ohm not the Ford one! I guess that will be going back to Jegs! LOL Guy
-
Ok so did I get the wrong fuel gauge then? I ordered the 0-90 ohms gauge. Since it doesnt say in the fuel gauge description I have no idea if 0 ohms is full or if its empty? Guy
-
Oh yeah an Mas280, which fuel gauge did you buy.....which ohm range? I need the 0-90ohm right?(if 14ohms is empty and 82ohms is full) Guy
-
So did the fuel gauge read to completely full or did it stop right before? Guy
-
Well I am going to be ordering my MSA Aero Kit II for my 1980 280ZX soon and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much shipping costs for something like that might be? I know it says that it will be shipped via freight but how much should I expect? I know lots of guys have bought their body "kits" from them so someone should know...right? Thanks, Guy

newbie! 240Z V-8 Opinions Needed
80LS1T replied to qwik240z's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
No we only do that when a newbie asks if they can put a SBC 350 in their 240Z . It actually sounds like "qwik240z" has done a search! I know its hard to believe but some new members actually do a search and read the sticky at the top of the forum! LOL Guy -
You can either go to the Autometer site, Jegs site, or Summit Racings site They all sell Autometer gauges in lots of different styles. Guy
-
Ok Im planning on using an Autometer fuel gauge and Autometer A/F gauge to complete the gauges for my car. Now since I now know that empty is about 14ohms and full is 82ohms. Will a 0ohms to 90ohms fuel gauge work.....or be close enough? What I am thinking is it wont read completely full when full? Is that what it will do? Or should a put a resistor in series with the sending wire? Guy
-
Well I'm pretty sure its the 2 5/8" that will fit in the center gauge pods. Is that what info your looking for. Its not a matter of which part # it is but the size of the gauge. There are lots of different models that Autometer makes. Its the 5" for the speedo and tach. Guy
-
Thanks thats just what I needed! Guy
-
Sweeeeeeet! Is there anything left on that car that is original! LOL Hey are you going to put anything behind the lights(upper 1/2 of bumper).....like more mesh? Or are you just going to leave it open? Guy

Do you know how to set up a booth environment in a garage?
80LS1T replied to THUNDERZ's topic in Body Kits & Paint
I did what that guy did in that link posted above. I only painted my engine bay like that. Just make sure that you get as much dust as possible out of the booth! I didnt and now I have some dust in my engine bay paint I am either going to do this again when I paint the entire car or Im going to try to get my brother to get all the crap out of his garage so that we can use the paint booth in there! It is an actual paint booth so I really really want to do it there. He used to paint cars on the side but now he is try to get out of it for health reasons. If I cant then Im going to spend the extra money and build a really nice booth in the garage even if it is temporary. Oh and that little box fan that he has(in the link above) is not going to pull enough air out of that booth. I used a huge azz HVAC blower fan and that seemed to work pretty good. Guy -
I am going to be putting in a fuel gauge and maybe an A/F gauge in my dash this winter and I was wondering what the resistance is on the fuel sending unit from empty to full? I have tried searching but no one seems to know. Guy

Confused... What painless kit do I need for my 95 LT1
80LS1T replied to love-my-V8-280Z's topic in Ignition and Electrical
Yeah if your going the "easy" route then your going to need a "painless" harness for the engine/tranny. What do you need a harness for the dash for? Guy -
Oh tell me about it Matt! Its not like I would be driving it right now anyways because I have stuff that needs to be done but it sure does suck putting the car away for 4-5 months a year. I guess I'll just have to move to CA! We have about 6"-8" of snow on the ground right now and its still snowing! I was just outside doing some dounuts on the road with my 4-wheeler so winter doesnt suck all the time . Next week me and 4 of my friends are going skiing up in Michigan for 3 days so that will be fun. So I cant really say I hate winter but my car sure hates winter! LOL Guy

Do you have a "Real Player"? If so open that first then go to open file and open it up. Sometimes this works if you cant just open it by clicking on it. I really need to find out how I can upload larger files so that I can put them in MPEG format. The quality is soooooooo much better! Oh and thanks for all the nice comments! 8) Guy
