  1. It looks like they're relying on lag bolts in the concrete. It's just not enough to guarantee the thing won't tip for or aft or callapse toward the center. I'm repeating myself, I know, but it really needs triangulated support. If I buy one I'm definitely making that mod.
  2. ^^^ Why did they mount the throttle body on top of the exhaust manifold???
  3. I would add diagonal bracings running for and aft at the uppermost points of the frame and bolt them to the concrete too. If I had the room I'd even add another diagonal brace on each side running outwardly creating trangulated support to the main columns.
  4. IMO, there isn't much difference between bottom-shelf and top-shelf booze when mixed 6:1 or weaker unless the dilution is with straight water. Those flavorful mixes mask any benefits of pricey booze.
  5. It wasn't meant as a criticism in any way. It was just a lame joke about the dog scratches.
  6. Would those be "actual" cups (8 oz) or 32 oz cups?
  7. Set up a new email account and WRITE DOWN your PW, etc. Then send her a letter (a NICE one) via Overnight Express with your new email address included. That'll be one million dollars, please.
  8. Six ounces of tequila per half galon of mix?? Thats a miserly booze:mix ratio of 1:11 which is NOT a real maragrita, my friend. C'mon... hop up that octane a little, will ya'?
  9. Looks like you guys are gonna have to start over from scratch.
  10. Research this a LOT before making your final decision. Just because you may have military escorts this does NOT mean you're safe.
  11. I have some extra buttons but they need to be rechromed. I was going to have 3 or 4 pairs done at the same time to (hopefully) save on the per piece cost and pass the dollar/time savings to others here. LMK if you're interested.
  12. Pretty piece. Now go bag something with it!!
  13. I want to run E85 carbs on my Edel. RPM Airgap dual quad intake but I'm having trouble locating small square bore carbs for reasonable cost. "Badged" E85 carbs are very pricey. I can convert them myself if it's a "relatively" straightforward/foolproof procedure. My preference is dual 390 CFM square bore but I'm open to twin deuces or split Dominators with adapters. I'd REALLY like something easily tunable without tearing them down. Total CFM ~700-900(absolute max). Engine is 350 SBC ~400HP N/A plus ~70 shot of nitrous, RPM range ~1500-6500. Goal is best dual E85 carbs for the buck.

    E85

Same here... not to mention you'll be burning approximately 40-60 percent more per mile than gasoline. So your out of pocket fuel costs, for now at least, is considerably higher. But money savings is obviously not the reason to switch to E85. Keeping our money in the USA and higher performance are the selling points.
  15. No, 50wt is not a bad vicousity. There are plenty of racers who run the stuff. I didn't know you only drive the car in the summer. Still, if it were me, I'd consider installing an oil heater for use on chilly days. But I'm anal-retentive. I knew a guy in high school (very long time ago) who spun a bearing on a chilly day (probably about 40-50 degrees) by not allowing the engine to warm up before he punched the throttle. He was using straight 50wt non-synthetic.
  16. I would not run 50wt in WI in the winter time. It's way too thick especially in cold climates. If you really want 50wt at full running temp then use Castrol 10w50 synthetic.
  17. Dave... If that diagram is for an early production 260 (should be the same as late '73 240, I think) I could use a copy of that wiring diagram too.
  18. Is there a local Z car club? Maybe there's a member who's a good shadetree mechanic.
  19. After reading the thread title I was nearly afraid to look. Nice ride
