  1. Where does one find engine calculators, pipe size, exhaust size, etc. For instance I would like to know what exhaust pipe size will is optimal. If one three inch pipe is good or 3.5? Is there any calculator that will do HP calculator etc. Is the Desktop dyno good for turbo engines?
  2. Mel and Sons is too far for me do you know any good exhaust shops in san jose?
  3. You must be missing something here. Dont do any engine swapping, just buy a TT 300zx and you will have tons of torque for the least $$$, very nice cars. Now if you want to go reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally fast do a engine swap into a light car.
  4. I hope to mount the tank this weekend. I have a question: I have a tilton 75 series clutch master cylinder what are the fitting called. Do I just ask for brake lines fittings, flare fitting, compression fittings? and what store should I go to? 5 weeks till the drive!
  5. For now good for burn outs. I want to know what you can fit using coilover and 16" rims. 245's?
  6. Thanks Marcos, I went crazy because I hate filling up and I found my other Z with 400HP to be very squirrely (sp?) without a full 120 lbs of fuel and a 200 pounds of passenger. The rear weight seems to be very nice for the traction plus the steering gets lighter too. As you can see it is a very tight trial fit. The second plate is to install a the stock supra sendor and pump. The elbow is the filler and the stock plate will not be used. I do need a vapor seperator. Does anybody sell them, universal? Also I want the car quiet so that is the stock supra muffler.
  7. I am using a 22 gallon atl cell on my 240z. Marcos should post the pics soon on the 2JZ thread.
  8. I need comfortable race/street (tall) seats for my 240Z. I am 6'3" 185. opinions?
  9. But what about the 93 on single turbo supras in california. How are they getting registered?
  10. How do people smog RB's, single turbo Supras in CALI?????? Living in the People's Republic of California with smog Nazi, flamin' liberals, and a tree huggers is tough. I spend so much time trying to have something smog legalish. Everyone else seems to build what ever they want. Everyone says oh don't worry about it, but maybe they dont understand this is for real. All the magazine feature cars all day long which would be laughed right off the smog referee's station. The idea of not having the original rear end gear here is considered punishable by death to smog nazi. We even have 1 800-2snitch hotlines to bust polluting vehicles. So come clean people and tell me what is going on, how do these car pass smog.
  11. My first drift contest ever. I think my 2JZ-GTE 240Z would run with those cars any day of the week. I just dont know about rubbing walls and such. The Viper won hands down. And Rhys Millen's LS1 Rocked the place.
  12. ps If you look close you can see my toe ring. j/k (wifes) The top drive shaft is the supra the middle is the datun the bottom is the custom I also thought about running the car with no grill but the grill looks better!
  13. Gents and Ladies too, I just emailed a load of pics to Marcos. You can see I finished up the intake system. The intake took some time to get it right. As you can see I have the drive shaft (28.5") and a R200 with a 3.545 gear. The supra has a 3.8 first so I think It will take off acceptably. The drive shaft is massive heavy wall thickness, three in dia with heavy duty parts including a slip joint. I only need the the clutch, exhaust and fuel now.
  14. ok here is the answer 70-72 -thin "straight" pedals 73-? -thin curved pedals 280 -heavy curved pedals
  15. I have a 1972 240z I am swaping to a manual 6 speed. The car was an auto. I went to the junkyard and found a 1970 240z and a 1973 240z. I pulled both the clutch and brake pedals on both cars. The pedals looked exactly the same so I bought the 1973 pedal that were nicer. After I installed them on my car I noticed the brake and clutch pedals are about .75" apart. This can not be right. Am I mad...!? ps I searched already.
  16. I am going to run the SUpra IRS but that is a huge project. I want to run the car with the r200 while I narrow the supra. PS if this thing does not go at least 115mph (stock) in the quarter mile I will be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad.
  17. Update. I worked on the Z this weekend. I went to the pick a part in san jose and picked up a R200. And to help hydriderz out there is a nice 1970 in the pick part it has a nice grill, rear hatch (with the vents), engine, etc. and the car is very complete. So now I have a 3.8:1 first with a 3.545 rear heh heh! I also pick up the pedals to run the manual trans etc. Cyrus
  18. Thanks, I want to be driving in a few weeks. We are newlweds (3 months) and my wife is great about the project. (!)
  19. I have some single plane advice. Edelbrock TM-1 The manifold is a smaller single that works great. Makes good low end power too! I bet it would beat both of you manifolds. Tm-1 are older so swap meets are a good spot to find one.
  20. UPdate I finished the engine and wiring for most of the car. I used petes relay mod using the supra relays. I still need: The clutch pedal the tilton MC the remaining silcon hose elbow etc To mount the fuse boxes shorten the 2 piece drive shaft mount the drive shaft bearing mount a fuel tank Is there a pump I could use with the existing datsun fuel tank?
  21. The dash is on ebay. I need ideas for custom dash that hybridz members have made. anyone?
  22. PS. My super perfect dash is on ebay right now for who ever needs one. No cracks perfect with all gauges. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2481541473&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
  23. I still need to know what size master cylinder to use for the 6 speed getrag trans?
