  1. I'm thinking your going to need 2 fans. One for the radiator and 1 for the condensor. I don't think 1 fan would flow enough air through the condensor and the radiator. Your a/c pressures would be through the roof in traffic with the a/c on.
  2. Anything with wheels or boobs will cost you money. Like I was telling my wife my z is a money pit. I will never get what I Have in mine. And don't plan to. I don't look at my project cars as a investment if I did I would be a poor man lol.
  3. Sorry Dwarlick no hostile tone here. I just think it's BS for a rbz going for 36k and not even running. There is nothing wrong with making money. If I was to sell mine I would want to get as much as I could. Just wait now you will see every Joe blow trying to get top dollar. And that will drive the parts up. Just look at the American muscle cars. I remember not to long ago that you could pick up a nice mustang, gto,Nova SS roller for cheap and now you can't touch a rust bucket for less than 10k
  4. That one that was on eBay that ended at 34,600 with reserve not met was BS there is no way. Now everyone is going to think there z is worth a million. Now parts are going to more and the fun will be gone. Just wait you will see alot mote on eBay for tons of $$$$ and parts will be out of site. I have had my z for over 16 years and parts were cheap now just wait. Just like the 1 million dollar 1970 hemi cuda vert This is BS
  5. I don't have a build thread sorry. The intercooler is a 24x12x3 from tank to tank. I wish I used a bigger one. I was thinking of getting a bigger one and welding it up myself. I didnt have my ac/dc tig when I bought this one. I wanted the inlets and outlets to match up with the stock holes in the core support. The fuel psi reg is a nismo type a. I cant remember what brand the fan is (I bought it over 15 years ago But is a 12 inch fan and it's a blower so it can go on the outside of the radiator. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
  6. I got it all together today, Its running great hauls a$$ right now but it needs a tune. I going to get it tuned asap. Here are some pics Rb20det...... yes a rb20 for you rb haters LOL Holset hx35 440 gtr injectors NIStune 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back turbonetics deltagate wastegate profec b boost controller moded stock exhaust manifold to accept the wastegate z32 Maf
  7. I tried calling that site last year with no luck. If you need a pan let me know. I have been building rear sump pans for this swap. My prices start at 250.00 Here is a link http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/89219-i-picked-up-a-new-sheetmetal-brake-and-other-toys-for-building-these-oil-pans/
  8. I just noticed that you are in Atlanta, if you would like to take a look at my set up come on over. I just finished installing a holset hx35 turbo, 440cc injectors and external wastegate, and plazmaman intake. I'm going to get it tuned soon.
  9. You can use the stock rb20 mounts and the stock 280z driveshaft mounts right up. You have to slot the z subframe alittle. Take a look at my posts there are pics of my set up before I changed it and made my own mounts.
  10. Sounds good, let me know
  11. Man you sure are negative. Let the guy do this swap. All the parts are getting cheap now. You just have to know where to look T-belt 41.00 Seals 30.00 Rear main 21.00 Water pump 60.00 Intercooler piping 60-100 Driveshaft 250.00 I can get the rb25 swaps local for 1800.00. I bet you never driven or rode in a z with a rb20. Don't knock it until you try it. I have had several people act the same way until I take them for a ride.
  12. This swap is not hard and isn't rocket science. Doing it the RIGHT way doesn't have to cost alot.
  13. Well I think and know that the rb swap CAN be less costly that some people think. If you can fab your own mounts and oil pan and do your own wiring it is possible to do it RIGHT on a limited budget. I made a set of mounts for my rb for less that 20.00. I bought the steel and made some kickass mounts for Yes 20 bones. It was very easy and look incredible. But I have all the tools need to cut, grind and to weld steel or and other kind of metal. I have been and will keep making the oil pans for this swap. To help you guys out. My pans start at 250.00 and go up to 600.00 plus. This swap doesn't have to cost a arm and a leg.
  14. If I had to choose I would go with the series 1. Because 1- the coil packs on these rb's are crap. The series 2 coil packs are harder to find and cost more. 2- the common problem with these rb's are either the PCM or the Cas and both are hard to find for the series 2 and cost alot more.
  15. No problem, just let me know. I'll be glad to do it for you.
  16. Mark on the pan what you need changed and Ship it and I'll fix it,no charge
  17. I fabed up all my intercooler piping but I have all the tools to do the job correctly. Get yourself the intercooler and some 45,90 degree and some j bends and some straight cuts and go to town. It's really not that hard. I maybe have 50.00 in my piping if that.
  18. the turbo is out of a dodge diesel truck. I ported out the exhaust housing to. the injectors needs the resistor box which I have and need to install also.
  19. It's a rb20. I have about 1.5 inches from the inner wing. It fits like a glove
  20. I just want to show some pictures of my neverending project. holset HX35 turbo turbonetics deltagate wastegate look alike Plazmaman intake. It was polished aluminum but it was way to shiny for me. 440cc gtr injectors I just received a new prc double pass radiator a few days ago 3 inch custom built exhaust
