  1. Thanks Zreddy, Here is a couple pans I built Saturday. The first one is Wedge's pan for his rb26. It's not done yet, I'm waiting for some oil pickups to be delivered.I still have alot of metal work to do. Wedge wants a external dip stick also. I was going to do more on saturday but BEER got in the way. (it's really hard to tig with a beer buz LOL). This one is for Enjuku Racing for a RWD rb25. It's almost done just waiting for the mail man to show up with my oil pickups
  2. Your coil packs are taking a dump. It a common thing with the rb motors.
  3. Hx35 on a rb25 could get you 450+ with the right tuner. Tuning is the key with a reliable setup. Anybody can slap a turbo on and boost the hell out of it but we all know what's going to happen.
  4. Rb25 trans or grab a z32 trans and a rb25 bellhousing
  5. gt28 is to small. I have two gt28's on my 300zx. Go with the gt30. Or grab a holset hx35 for 1/10 of the price of a gt30. I just picked up another hx35 for my 1jz 100.00. Hx35 flows almost the same as the gt30.
  6. This swap isn't hard,it's pretty easy. I had mine swapped and running in a few days. It all depends on how good you are turning wrenches. You can make it very hard or very easy, work smart not hard lol. Break the swap down in several steps just don't jump in with both feet. It can get very overwhelming fast. There is alot to do if you look at it in just one step. I had alot of fun doing mine.
  7. I'm going with a Toyota 1jzgte.

  8. Your very welcome un-fairlady z, let me know if I can do anything else for you.

  9. I used the stock down pipe and made exhaust from there. At that time I was running 2.5in pipe. I stiil have the cast down pipe (i think)
  10. I'm running a holset hx35 turbo. I had to make a custom down pipe off the turbo. The flowmaster sounds good I like it.It's not to loud or too quite.
  11. I'm running 3in from the turbo back to a flowmaster. I grabbed some 45,90 and straight pieces from summit and cut and tigged up my exhaust. I used all mandrel bent pipes and with a little time I had a perfect free flowing exhaust.
  12. hey pat, never got around to it but thanks again for the pan!

  13. I can take any pics you like, just let me know. There was tons of room. I had to use a 1/2 t3 turbo flange to make the compressor clear the exhaust manifold and I still had to shave alittle off the compressor housing. I had to weld a 90 degree aluminum elbow to the compressor outlet. I made my own mounts and I had to cut alittle to clear the turbo. But that was no big deal. I pulled off the exhaust manifold and cut a 40mm hole it for the stainless steel exhaust tube that I welded on it. I used ER309L stainless steel filler rod and tig welded it up. Welding cast is a pain but with the tig I could adjust the heat with the pedal and the stainless is awesome to weld. (colors were pretty LOL). The hx35 is cheap but effective turbo. I have 206.00 in the turbo and I rebuilt it to be on the safe side for 42.00. I have read on several foruns that the hx35 is just like the gt30 for a fraction of the price. The turbo pulls great with alittle lag on this rb20 but it still needs tuned. I'm sure when I get it tuned things will change. I'm going to get it tuned when I get sometime. I was thinking of after I get it tuned I might sell the entire swap and go rb26 but I don't know. I get bored and need something to work on LOL
  14. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I used a a set of mazda 3 exhaust studs. I'm a mazda tesh and I had a extra mazda 3 head sitting around and I had a few broken studs. The mazda 3 studs were a perfect match for the head and also for the turbo flange. The old studs were to short on the turbo flange. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I'll be glad to help.
  15. Wow look at that, the service manual says sealant. I guess I was right. Your welcome
  16. I haven't done anything. This guy jumps on this forum and doesn't even read the post. Then he jumps on ME. For what I don't know. I do what I can to help people on this forum not cause problems.
  17. By the way, Great 1st post.
  18. Your the man. Tell us how it's done.Maybe for a L motor not a rb26 For what it's worth Nissan has been using sealant for water pumps for years. RTV isn't the sealant I'm taking about. RTV is the shadetree sealant it's crap.Use a good quality sealant and you won't have anything to worry about.
  19. You have to press the hub off. Very easy, put the bearing in a vise and get a socket the same size as the hub. Hit it a few times with a hammer and it will come off. Then gently press the new bearing on.
  20. nissan part number 30502-45P00 it's a z32 89-96 300zx release bearing.Any auto parts store has them in stock. I hope this helps.
  21. it was on eBay last week.
  22. It's 24 inch from inlet to outlet. It fits perfect. I pit the wasted spark setup on the when I was having problems with the stock rb coils. I threw the stock coils in the trash and went to the auto parts store and got a coil pack from a Buick grand national and a set of msd plug wires. This set up is more reliable that the stock coils.
