  1. Haha, you guys sound like me trying to reason with myself, still dunno what im gonna do. Carbon zg's mmm, now if someone who actually make a nice set. From what I remember the quality of MSA's carbon stuff isnt top notch.
  2. Oh and why are you runnign a cage? Is is required? Becaues that is WEIGHT WEIGHT WEIGHT. FYI with full lighting, roll cage, subframe connectors, thicker frame rails and floorpans, along with two heavy seats and a 1/2 tank of gas my car weighed 2340lbs I imagine you shoudl be able to do 2100 or less pretty easily.
  3. Cut the intire inner door off so you jsut run a skin, then pin it to hte roll cage to hold it shut. Like this:
  4. Dude that was a steal, looks like its a pretty clean car. Too think i could have started with something like that.... I would have bought your car in a heartbeat for 3K. Hehe but i notice hte 3 z's sitting in your drive, i guess it doesnt hurt ot let one go. Especially when one is running 10's soon to be 9's eh?
  5. Definitly not too rich, tuned to a little under 12:1 my plugs are pretty black. You look like your running around stoich most of the time.
  6. 24" wide will be a TIGHT squeeze, In fact i dont think you can make it work without modification of the intercooler outlets like i did. I tried tight radius couples etc, still hit the hood hinges. I would suggest finding a 22" or 20" one of you can, but it seems most places are selling 24" units.
  7. How must boost are you running total? Are you just running 15psi, or are you just shooting it in that window. I dont have the advance controll that AEM provides but i have been thinking about trying this idea of running a resistor in the rich lean knob port on the SDS's ecu to increase the fuel to the injectors when the nitrous is tripped
  8. Thats absolutely awesome . Thanks for the pictures, wanna share any more details, I think I may be following your route.
  9. Unless you just love to fix rust, quit now..... thats what i prollly should have done. I kicked myself in the the *** every time i saw a cheap shell with little rust, and they show up all the time, might jsut have to drive for them. BUt I guess when its done, you have something you can take more pride in. But based on your pictures there is ALOT more you are gonna find out rust wise. Just looking at that hole in the fender and the wheel arches in the back it looks like there is as much bondo on the car as metal.
  10. Thanks for the compliment guys... Right now depending on how much i can put into the car after work this summer im thinking about Wats with matte black centers, polished lips, matte black zg's, and anodizing my i/c black. Its all in my head right now but i thought i would get some opinions.
  11. Got some pictures of my car at the SEZ event. Some of the first pictures outside since wetsanding and what not. Anyway also some good pictures of Alex's hood. Lemme know what yall think... looking into flaring it out this summer, I may just end up going with a set of zg's to avoid paint and body work (not looking forward ot any more of that!) but I really want something molded in. The question is do yall think gunmetal ZG's work nicely on the car? I gotta find some way to get more traction and I dont want to ride around on drag radials all the time. What a trailor queen Couldnt drive her down incase something happened had to get back to school, heh not everybody is as crazy as thumper. Heres some more sez pictures... http://gallery.voodoo-people.com/album669
  12. LOL you honestly think the z bumpers are good for something Maybe if you wreck into somebody while parallel parking. Looking good Ryan
  13. Im running Compeitition Clutch's stage 4 clutch. Its a sprung 6 puck, I like it so far.
  14. Try DEFI, I think they might be able to help you. Besides you need full digital gauges and a heads up display for your car anyway
  15. Very nice work man congrats, looking sweet. Those big elbows turned out working nice!
  16. Well It was definitly awesome to see some other l's out there and running. Especially the times you guys were putting down. Im jealous... but then again who had hte fastest L MPH , okay maybe that means i just suck at driving but hp calculator says 382 to the ground at 15psi, this seems like a little much but anyway. Just gotta get some better tires, or run DR's like you guys maybe ill see some 11's. Best for me was a 12.15@124.55 (2.138 60'), best MPH 125.94. I couldnt get traction in 1st or second to save my life, I ran the same times on 15psi as I did on 20.. Also got a ride in garrets car -- very cool, especially with a little buzz lol. Once again, nice to meet everybody...
  17. DUDE!!!! you gotta get it back together, Surely somebody could get you a TB. Manifold looks easily fixable, would love see your car at SEZ!! Good luck
  18. Wowzers those silicon elbows look like they cost you a kidney
  19. Very cool video. They could have done alot more with that. I thought there attitudes were wierd and they kind way over blew the interview stuff. Still awesome
  20. I could do them in mild steel for around 100 bucks plus shipping including your choice of WG flange. You supply the bolts. Btw v8260 i like your profile quote " If you want everyone to hate you, drive a bimmer" This is so true, I get ragged on for driving a $3500 325is with 220K miles on it like im rich!
  21. http://www.tialsport.com/documents/w3_tial_wginstall.pdf
  22. Would be rediculously easy to make. I could prolly put some together.... The issue would be what flange do most people want to run for the wastegate? I would assume TiAL
  23. Right but the reason that brake mastercylinders are comprised of two isolated sections is for safety reasons; to isolate the front from the rear incase of a major line failure. In minibaja when the speeds are slow and brake failure isnt as catastropic as in a car there is no need for the extra weight. I think that was part of the reason for going with the z clutch master (it is very small compared to a tilton/wilwood units, comparable ot the wilwood compact). My question is still the same? why run two? When you can controll bias with a proportioning valve (lighter then a second cylinder) Haha of course i dont know why im posting it ill ask him tonight at the baja meeting. the other question though? Any larger OEM clutch masters?
  24. You could weld some tabs on the side of your intake manifold, or make a bracket that uses the existing bosses. Its a straight shot to the gas pedal and you can bolt the 240sx manifold straight to the TB. You can drill out the stock ball joint on the pedal and it leaves a perfect hole to mount the clevis to that comes with the throttle cable. Anyway, if you want more pictures of my setup lemme know I can try and snap a couple.
