  1. Cool I would like them for a 280!! Terry
  2. Question...will LS1 bolt directly to a 700R4? Terry
  3. Looks awesome.....reminds me when I dropped mine in. I cant wait to do it again! CZ
  4. I have one in my 240 but it is wider than the rail width. I had to cut notches in the rails and then have aluminum flanges welded on the side of the radiator to mount flush with the radiator opening. I also had a petcock tapped in as well. All for about $50. The next smaller Rad would have been an easier fit IMHO. If you have a 280 I think it should be fine width wise... Terry
  5. Sounds nice, just rememebr you may have to set the clearance from time to time on those rockers with forced induction. My friends was shooting 250 shots on his solid roller and was always reseting the lash about every two weeks. I know, what am I saying, thats the fun part of it! Good Luck on your build!!!
  6. Damn Dr Hunt, do share! You guys are gonna be so far ahead of me when I get back its gonna be rediculous! I guess Im forced to look at the Small Block 472 with a possible Pro Charger! Dreaming is great but it may come true! Would you care to advise when I start collecting parts? Also I aggre that money well spent on the bottom end will pay big dividends...just ask ZFAN! Terry
  7. Well I ran a 150 shot on them with no issues for a total of approx 525 crank HP. ran a 10.9 and had no probs....Its the timing and detonation you have to worry about. Those hypers will break easily though. I broke two skirts just by trying to install the damn pins before. Scary but I guess they serve thier purpose.
  8. I have ran both cams XR276HR and 282. The 276 is a very torqey cam and the 282 seems better over the whole range. Traction was a problem for me with the 276 however but Im sure youll love either... Terry
  9. Hey Dr Hunt! I guess I made a bigger improvement cause I was coming down from the 13.9 range. Actually before I changed the torque convertor I was running 12.5s. You started at 12.3s so the law of deminishing returns were stronger on your upgrade I suspect. T
  10. Ill add a bit here. With my 350 and stock heads Comp 262 flat tappet hydraulic cam, stock iron heads, 650 Vac Secondary and 700R4 with 354 rear and 2 1/4 duals with Dart alum intake and stock convertor I ran a 13.7 to 13.9 all day long. Now with a simple head change to AFR 190s, 3500 stall and Roller retrofit to Comp Cams XR282HR and 2 1/2 exhaust, and 750DP I ran a 11.91 best on all motor. Heads are a big deal, then CAM, then Torque convertor in my case. I gained a .5 in the quarter just by changing the torque convertor! Terry
  11. Thats really weird, I dont understand how you can run a 13.16 at only 100MPH with such a bad 60? Usually hooking up well with a NA engine 100MPH will yield you around 13.6 to 13.9 or so but Ive never seen that low before....too wierd...do you have a time slip? What this suggests is that you got out of the hole and down the 1/8th very fast then fell on your face on the big end,,,,was this the case? 8.6 1/8th is a mid 13 time in the 1/4. Terry
  12. Thanks Dan! Yeah your car is awesome. Im thinking of the MSA GNose and working off that. Does the headlight buckets still fit with the front subtle fenders?
  13. Alex get out of town man....look em up later!
  14. Grumpy I have a 396 in my Orange Z but only a few show pics, nothing in detail. Ill get em for ya in 5 years!!!lol.
  15. Does anyone know if the Subtle Z front flairs can be molded nicely into a GNose front dam? Im thinking of a new setup with the rear YZ flairs..using a GNose. Terry
  16. JapTin, you ARE the man. Naturally Aspirated....my goodness! I think Ill talk to you when I get back!!!lol. Good job! Dont need a stinkin Blower!! Terry
  17. Hey I was in 2d Battalion 5th Marines from 86 to 1990!!! OOHRAH! Gotta love that Fortaje (sp) also in 4th Marines... Terry
  18. Thats sounds like a great deal. I was looking at SpeedoMotive last night. I think Ill take your advice and go that route. By the time I get back I can buy just about anything I want I guess. Ill be sure to inquire your advice when time comes. I like the idea of a raised deck etc so it minimizes the machine work! Terry
