  1. I like those startlets, if it were mine I think I would throw a 4age in it but, if the 20v motors go cheap I would consider that, I dont know much about the japanese motors, but toyotas are one of my side interests along with every other 70-80s import car. But yeah, I say go for it would make for a nice daily driver/ mini hot rod. Those 4age motors make it feel like ur going fast when ur not, neat motor. Good luck and have fun with it, John
  2. Hey not to hijack your post but I have a question, what is the thing in between the fusible links and the white bottle and what does it do, I want to remove but I dont know what it does, its the thing thats a bracket and holds two round canisters?
  3. Nice!!! But, you can only keep us happy for so long, I wanna see pics of the rotary z.
  4. Forgot to post the link , here it is http://www.tremek.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3259

  6. Keep up the good work and turn up the boost . Gotta get mine done soon, Im soo jealous. John
  7. Looking great Yasin 8) . Keep up the good work, the car is coming along nicely.
  8. I agree, just sounds to, how should I say this, small. But that guy did do a very nice job.
  9. Miles, I havent driven the car as of yet, no motor, so I couldnt tell you, but I wouldnt think you would have any problems using the 280zx booster and m/c with the stock brakes. Also, Im not sure about the 79' booster, but I had to flip my booster upside down so the bolts would line up. John
  10. Damn why couldnt they include the milwaukee wi area, probably cause we dont have any. Maybe I fill up on a take when Im in chicago with the Z.
  11. That thing is beautifu, the car has alot of attention to detail, the time and money that went into all make it a thing of beauty. Hmmm... this is the route im going with my z, I spend way too much time on every little nut and bolt, I wonder if it will turn out like that. None the less Ive done the detail work and know that it took that guy lots of time and elbow grease. John
  12. This damn manifold got the best of me, ended up just wrinkle finishing it. Goes along with my black wrinkle finish valve cover anyhow, also shows off my billet fuel rail and throttle body spacer. Man it so nice when u shave these things it makes it look so tidy. It was just taking up way too much time, where as painting it took like 10 mins. John
  13. Does anybody have any experience with this turbo, I read a old post about them. Any one have any idea if they would work well on a l28et? Also I read that the stock external wastegate operates at a minimun of 17psi any one know if you can lower it down to the 13-15 psi range? Thanks, John
  14. 19879-1983 280zx booster and m/c. I used one off my 83 turbo parts car, had to turn it upside down but it works (the booster). The 83 i got the booster from had a 15/16 master cylinder. Hope that helps a little, John
  15. hahaha, I love dmb, she is a dmb girl, lol, actually I listen to dave matthews too. only in wisconsin.
  16. got mine at the beginning of the week its very purdy, put all the fittings on now its time to port my intake and put it on the motor, then maybe someday, I can put the motor in the car, just maybe. John
  17. Damn, my dad wouldnt even do things like that for me if I didnt gather all the information research and do most the work myself, thankgod for this site, you sound like a great father to help your wifes son out, but I too would not give him a chance when he has no desire to do the work and research. Kinda like my brother, he has his 58' olds in my dads shop and expects my dad to pay his employees to work on it, then he comes every day to see if anymore work got done on it, its people like this that shouldnt have project cars. On the sad side for us, no more of these great stories, but I bet you feel good about not having to hear his crap again. John
  18. very nice, and helpful pictures, maybe Ill try it. Looks really good Yasin, keep up the good work. John
  19. Your probably seeing the JSK fuel rails and yes they are very nice and high quality, I would reccomend one if your looking to upgrade. I just got mine today and am very happy with it. Juan is also very easy to deal with and a great guy. John
  20. Hey wheres mine, I hope it gets here today so I can fondle mine , I cant beleive I just said that... John
  21. Nice, u gotta show some pics of the motor, its a work of art, and beastly looking also. Beautiful car, hope my car can come close to it someday. John
  22. hehe, I was thinking that too, but Ive gone so far Im just going to polish the whole thing, so just lots of hours is the key to making the whole thing look good I guess. Pretty much the story with every part on my car.
  23. Does anybody have any tips for polishing the intake manifold or pretty much any aluminum parts. Im wondering how some people polished their intake runners. Thanks, John
