  1. Yeah I would say plugs too. Just solved this problem on my dad's saab, same exact symptoms.
  2. Its 3.54 on the one out of the q45, not sure on the 300zx ones.
  3. Looks like you made a new friend Mike. Sounds like a nice car, if you thought that Z was fast imagine how fast yours is gonna be.
  4. if you using the 79-81 zx calipers you need the 1980-84 maxima brackets with the screwed on dust shield. If you are using the 82-83 zx calipers you need the 80-84 maxima brackets with the floating dust shield. This is not from experience but I printed it out from an post a while back. Hope it helps.
  5. One more question Tim, are the inner CV's on a J30 the same as the Q45, the J30 is a non-touring model. Thanks, John
  6. So if I were to do the swap, I would need the custom shafts and a pair of oem shafts to get the CV joints off of. How much do the adapters run from Speedway, does Ross make these adaptors? Also about how many hours do you have in fabrication for mounting the diff. Thanks, John
  7. I don't have roomates like that, but I have a brother. He messes up my stuff, could care less about it. One time he backed into my Z and didn't think anything of it. Anyhow I know how it feels when your around people that don't have the same interests as you. It gets really annoying, you don't want to do the things they like to do and they don't want to do the things you like to do. My oppinions about people like you described are that they have no hobbies and no life. And I agree very much with Drew, I just don't let what people say bother me and very few things stress me out.
  8. Thats gonna make a super sweet daily driver. Wonder what kind of times it's gonna turn.
  9. Yes, I would also like to know how hard the SDS was to install. The part that I dont think I could do is placing the magnets, as I do not have a drill press or a lathe. How did you go about installing the magnets. None the less the car looks AWESOME!
  10. Yeah dude, I think that not being able to rev to 5k could be that hall sensor mount. The only other thing I can see would be that you placed you magnets wrong. Anyhow I wope it works out for you.
  11. Thanks, hopefully I can get this thing running finally.
  12. Hey guys can I use a ecu and wiring harness from an automatic 280zxt on my 5spd turbo. I am not looking to run this for long, just to get the motor running. Thanks, John
  13. Man, lots of nice rims on that club 4age site. Very helpful, I love those Techno Phantom's, Sakura cherry blossom's, and the ssr mkIII's. To bad there so damn expensive.
  14. Yeah man I give you mad props for building a car like that while your in highschool. I'm 16 and just starting my 280zt project, but it's hard to find time to work on my car. Hopefully things will get moving in the next week or so. Anyhow nice setup you got their. Keep us updated on what kind of times it runs. Also how hard was it for you to get the aftermarket efi setup. John
  15. http://www.speedjunkie.org/510project.html This looks to be a pretty badass hybrid. Thought some of you guys might be interested in it.
  16. Drax is right, silver just wouldnt look right on that car. I'd go with the copper color or a bright orange.
  17. Very nice color. What is it from, and how many stages does it have. None the less, it looks very good. A job well done.
  18. I guess Phailure beat me to it. Boondock Saints is one of the best I've seem. Office Space is pretty good too.
  19. They look good, I would think they would look good with green. But, definitely don't go with the red.
  20. I don't know if your wife would be interested in it , or you. But there's great money to be had in rebuilding wrecked cars. The turn around is pretty good, you can pick up a wrecked 95' subaru impreza for $200, put $1000 dollars into it and turn around and sell it for $4-5000. You just have to make sure the cars have clean titles and if you think about doing this for a professional living, try to get a retail auto license. John
  21. What are you talking about Guy, my girlfriend looks ten times better than that 8) . God I only wish . John
  22. Looks good, very good. And you kick that little dwarfs ass, sounds like the same guy thats supposed to be doing the work on my car . John
  23. Man those are two hot pieces of ass. I second that personal interview. Hey theres 2, I can have one, you can have one.
  24. Yeah I like mazda colors. I'm thinking about painting my Z, mazda spicy orange. Its a really pearly looking orange thats on the mazdaspeed protege, and its a single stage paint. Black Cherry is a very nice color, I remember seeing that color on an old Cadilac, looked very nice.
