  1. Still need this question anwered, also, is there really only one one wire coming off the distributor to the relay board? What about the other two wires and the ground? The ground may include the two wires, but regardless, what goes where?
  2. This diagram shows that you only need one wire off the distributor, is this right? I am wanting to run Megasquirt n' Spark if that helps. Also, what the heck is "WB02"?
  3. Kameari metal head gasket on MSA http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PRC16/10-2455
  4. I do not have a fast idle valve installed, will we still need to wire it up? We also have an MSD 6T box, is it compadible?
  5. ok, so wire it up exactly as shown? Nothing is missing from the diagram, correct? Also, I am running a relay board, this doesn't change anything, correct?
  6. Im almost positive it is the nuts that go on the studs on the differential cover because I tightened them with a regular wrench as tight as I could and the sound went away but after a day or two it came back, so I am pretty sure its them.
  7. The reason I want to drop it is because I cant get an impact wrench on the nuts, which I want to do. I've also read that people put fat washers on and then tighten them down. We actually just changed the oil in it and put a new gasket on while we put on ground control coil overs.
  8. Alright, hose barb is installed on the turbo, now, where can I get a 3/4 ID hose that I can run the oil to the pan from?
  9. Hey guys, I have the imfamous rear end "clunk" between shifts and opening and closing the throttle. Now, I know that it is the nuts on the differential rear cover coming loose, so I am wondering if it is possible to drop down the differential by removing the nuts on the end of the mustache bar and taking off the crossmember that holds up the nose of the differential. Thanks!
  10. Both manifolds will actually come off in the process, there are big, fat washer-looking things on bolts that hold the intake on to the head. These are all located on the bottom side of the intake manifold, and man are they a pain to get to
  11. Hey guys, I've searched and cannot find what I'm looking for...but I know the link is on here somewhere! We are doing an L28et swap in our '73 240z and have purchased a new 280zx alternator. I have read that the 240s have external voltage regulators and spit our low amperage while the new alternator has the internal voltage regulator while spitting out 60 amps. So in order to implement the new alternator, I know the old setup must be modified. If someone could post the link to the installation, that would be very helpful...thanks!
  12. I assume that you use the HEI if you do not have an 83 turbo distributor, correct???
  13. We will also be using the relay board...dont know if that is a factor or not...
  14. Hey guys, just about to begin the whole wiring process, but I have a couple questions. We will be running MS1 with the v3.0 pcb board (I think that is what it is called) and controlling spark with the MSnS code and using our MSD 6T ignition. But I'm looking at these diagrams and I am not sure which one to use. On the first one, there is no GM HEI "thing" (not even sure what it does) and on the other one there is. What do we need to to to run an L28ET with the stock '83 turbo distributor on it with MSnS, thanks guys! Here are the two diagrams. Here is the diagram iwith the "HEI" by the distributor
  15. Ok, so we just leave the 3 point connector input exposed and dont connect anything? What WAS this connection used for?
  16. So do I just leave the other connection point unplugged? What was that connection used for?
  17. Interesting....was this a one-of-a-kind thing? Whats the history on this?
  18. Yeah, we do have the relay board. We haven't begun the wiring hell, but I'm just preparing here. Here is what I mean: On the 4,5,6 numbers, we have the connector for that, but are these the three wires that go to the relay board, or is it the ones coming out of the box itself? If so, what do we do with 4,5,6?
  19. Hey guys, we did a 60mm TPS swap and are using the TPS off that, but I am not sure exactly how to wire it up. I know there are 2 connectors that come off the TPS with a total of 6 wires between them combined, but the megasquirt only requires the 5 Vref, signal and ground, which the ground is grounded to the engine, but where do the others go? The two connectors consist of one coming out of the box itself and one you plug into the port on the front, but then where? Thanks!
  20. I'd be worried about metal shavings from cutting off the hose barb off the pan. But thank you for the idea. I actually just ordered the threaded flange and hose barb fitting so I can just secure a hose. Thanks for the help guys!
  21. Yeah, I actually got my hands on one but was bent when he said it wasn't, so I just ordered a flange and hose barb fitting to thread into it and I'll just use a hose. Can I just use copper spray to seal the fitting to the flange on the threads? Also, where can I find a hose to use for this application? I know it has to be 3/4 id...
  22. Eh, I actually got it all taken care of. Sorry I haven't had any update pics, but I can't find my camera so as for an update, we're now waiting on parts. We have a 280z alternator, which allows us to now have an internal voltage regulator. We also have a 24x12x3 intercooler on the way. We're also having a 280zx flywheel lightened and balanced along with the clutch. When I find the camera, I will post up pictures.
  23. Looking at this page is what i'm basing my stuff off: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/minj.htm#size
