  1. Don do you know about using the stock seats with the 5 point? Also do you have any pics of your 5 point mounting points? Thanks Mike
  2. I just put in a Roll cage and I need to know if I have to run aftermarket 5pt seat belts for 11 sec times. Right now I am using stock seat belts but I do not want to get kicked out of the track. Mike
  3. I twisted the oil pump rod 2 times on my Mustang before I bought a ford motorsport rod. You will know right away that it snaped. I have never hurt the motor doing this. Mike
  4. When I lived in SanAntonio, there use to be a B2200 with a 350v8 in it running around. Mike

    Neon SRT4

I had a SRT try and race me a few days ago. It was not much of a race but they are fast. I have seen them run 13.9@101 stock at the track. Mike
  6. I paid $125 from ebay for some black cloth miata seats. I just bolted the Z seat sliders on the Miata seats and then they bolted in. The Miata seat fits very nice in the Z. Mike
  7. I have mine set to give power to one winding at a time. I love the Taurus fan my car never gets over 185.
  8. I get about 1800 out of the stall that I have now. I want to go with a torque converter that will stall out at 2800. Right now I have 3.54 gears in the r230(vlsd) and I can do a full stall on the street and it does not spin.
  9. The motor is all stock just a LT1. I was running 1.80 60ft, I could not spin the tires. Now it is time for the roll cage, and torque converter. If you are just starting the swap now then put the torque converter in now, the stock one does not cut it. As for gas milage I donot know what it is but I used a 1/4 tank for 100 mile round trip to the track and 9 passes down the track. Mike
  10. I just got back from the track. I tried a new program today, and the trans would only shift at 5,000. So My times where slower today. Looks like I need to put my old program back in. 12.5@107mph 3rd place in braket racing Stock LT1/4l60e
  11. Dart Iron Eagle 200cc Heads are good heads, I had the aluminum version on my 383 the Dart conquest. The first time at the track i only ran 11.6 then I had it tuned down to 10.8 on the motor. I later sold that car to 1fastz and he put NOS on it and ran 9.6. So your heads have the flow to get you where you want to go. Mike
  12. I ran 68 on the front and 72 jets on the back. You might want to take a jet kit with you. I have seen alot of cars run bad at the track because they did not tune it good.
  13. Phantom 5" tach and speedo Phantom 2 5/8" oil,water and fuel
  14. I use to run 12.4@111mph with less.. 1977 280z 350 9.1:1 ported camel hump heads 480 lift cam A nice mild chevy but it would run 12.4-12.5 all day on radials. If you are running right I would say 11.7-11.9.. Mike
  15. I have now put on about 500 miles on the car, everything is working ok. I am having some problems with the fuel sending unit leaking. I put a new oring in, but i HAVE A VERY SMALL LEAK. Also I need to find some 3.5" tubing so I can mount the air filter outside.
  16. I have the corvette motor in my Z but I think that the Camaro oil pan is the same. Good luck with the lt1 swap. Mike
  17. Are you sure about the 400 + HP ??? You only have the 2.5 exhaust . Good luck on the race
  18. I hate to say but I have worked with honda's alot. My last car that I just sold on ebay was a 1995 Acura integra gsr with JR supercharger 8psi and the car ran 12.7@114 on street tires this is with a stock engine. On the dyno the car made 235wh and 255wh with the exaust off. I had this same motor and Super charger in my 92 civic hb and that car ran 12.3@118. You can run fast with the stock motor just dyno tune it before you drive it.
  19. It looks like you used 3" tubing for the cold air intake? I need to make my LT1 cold air also but I need to find some 3.5" tubing, the LT1 MAf is 3.5". So if you used 3.5" tubing please let me know where you bought it from. Thanks Mike
  20. The private pilot exam was not that hard, just study your books, But the instrument written was not fun...
  21. I just put drag radials on mine. Use a 15x8 4.5 offset and they will fit. I have stock fenderwell, and it does not rub. mike
  22. I have the 235/60/15 drag radial and I mounted them on 15x8 rims with a 4.5 offset.
