  1. Mudge actually i have n-42 botton end from 77 non-turbo z and yes there is n42 head. btw there is n42 intake madifold and friend of mine told me that there is n42 exhaust madifold. in my case its n-42 bottom end, p90 head, and n42 inake madifold. guys those are some very nice ideas on tags but if you have any more ideas just throw them in. at this point anything helps.
  2. ......but that wont happen anytime soon......
  3. JT get away from me man you are not hepling lol thats just mean zzzzzz2 huh when i get "done" with my z thats what you are gonna need or actually thats all i am gonna see in my rear view mirror while i am passing you and your orange pumpkin hehehehehe.
  4. if it was me i would paint the mesh to match car and i would also get lip polished so it would be black and polished lip. anyways very nice whell.
  5. yeah i like that one just keep them coming
  6. hey guys my car is getting close to "driveable" condition lol and that means its tag and insurance time. i want to put custom tag (personalizade sp) but i am short on ideas. i want it to have something with turbo (like turbozzzzz, hiboost...) something off that nature but i am open to any decent suggestion. one that i really like is something like old scool (i guess "olschol" or whatever. cmon everybody help me out with this one its killing me lol.
  7. i have seen them anyway from $100 to $300.
  8. does anyone know if there is any difference between 280z and 280zx hubs and also is right side hub indentical to left side hub (on 280z).
  9. i am not trying to be rude or anything like that (i know that it will outflow stock one and all) but i was expecting something more "exotic" looking. james how much is your tt madifold come out to be (just materials).
  10. 93.5 -98 twin turbo supra (not big but about five inches thick) "should" be good for about 350hp safe. npr (isuzu truck) there is two different ones i dont know whats the difference (use search to find more info on it) that one is long tall and two inches thick. that one "should" be good for about 400hp. those are in my opinion two best ones.
  11. hey jeff how much would unit like that run for?
  12. Mike hondas are running open block bottom end (or however you say it) so block guard would be nice investment (its about $150) and EGT gauge would go long way.
  13. hey guys i was reading new issue of super street and for some reason i checked back of it where these big companies advertise and i came across this place south florida performance and it said that they have madifolds for 1jz. i am not sure if its for single or twin turbo because for some reason page wont download on my computer (junk) but anyways here is the link and i hope that i helps out someone. http://www.sfp.net/
  14. This should make it much easier. http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gart34boltur.html
  15. ok here is what i got: 5 inch mechanical speedo (botlts right up to "speedo drive gear") so no mods on that one. 5 inch electrical tach (never heard of mechanical before) 2 5/8 they bolt right up in stock housing and if you go to james thagard (guy with twin turbo 240z) he shows step by step instrructions how to put them in) oil pressure 0-100psi water temp boost gauge (but you already have that one) instead auto meter boost gauge you can get fuel pressue (you are gonna need that one for sure) and stay away from a/f ratio cause they are pure junk (auto meter one) for egt i would definitelly go with either apex or greedy guages with peak hold and playback function (you can set them up to worn you when you get to preset temp and they alow you 30 sec. playback) but be prepare to pay about $200 or so for new one. one more gauge to look at is new greedy air/fuel gauge but that one goes for almost $300+ few of my friends have them and they are very very accurate.
  16. hey zpeedrazer man i am loving that intake madifold. looks great. i am in process of finishing mine and i am doing it EXACT the same way as your. i have shaved everything just like on yours. man talk about pain in butt. i have been working about solid 20 hours so far and at least about 5 more to go. btw car look amaizing and very nice detailed engine bay.
  17. i am not sure but i think that c5 was turbocharged. i can swear that was sound of open wastegate wenting directly to atmosphere and i am sure that wasnt coming from supra. can someone corect me if i am wrong.
  18. swap is not that hard (if you can get someone to make you custom mounts) and if you do search there is some info about swaps not detalied but they give you basic idea. i found place that has very good prices on rb-series motors and make sure that you look under monthly special section. there is rb-25 half cut for $1500. that is damn good price. http://venus-auto.com/
  19. i forgot to mention that friend of mine was pushing that hp on 370 svo inj not on 440 because they are way too big for stock electronics.
  20. Bob you make very good point about l-28t setup and even better point about him changing his mind like woman in clothing store lol.
  21. Randy yes stock electronics will suport that much horsepower. buddy of mine (jtaylor hybridz member) is pushing right about 360 whp (safe) but he did dyno right about 388 whp (leaning out) and 425 pounds of torque to the wheels and all this with 440 inj. and stock electronics. of course big turbo, intercooler....blah blah blah... lol
  22. worst one so far is my old twin turbo stelth (aka 3000gt vr4). talk about pain in butt. took me two minutes to change three of them and then took me 3 or 4 hours to change other 3. i had to take off whole intake madifold and bunch of other crap just to get to them (bless its soul). thank god i got rid of that piece and got into z's. lesson learned stay the hell away from junk like that
  23. opsss nevermind found it. sounds like very nice setup.
  24. Man i love color of that valve cover. thats just freaking sweet
  25. well this is what i have done on my 280z: 1. 77 non-turbo bottom end 2. p-90 head and oem nissan turbo head gasket(with this head on compression goes down to i think 7:5:1 which is same as turbo zx motor) 3. turbo zx wiring harness (i heard that you can modify stock harness but i dont feel like messing with it), turbo mas, and turbo ecu. 4. turbo distributor i know that this is not answer that you are looking for but it helps you out some. i think if you have n42 head that turbo exhaust madifold will bolt right up but with p90 you can run more boost (lower compression).
