  1. Still working on my 78 TURBOZ: WOW! I just notice the footprints of that beast on the ramp.
  2. I used the rustoleum gloss on the booster lid. I`ll be testing a lacquer clearcoat on the other lid and compare the results.
  3. Just testing the clearcoat on the booster lid. Still needs the 2000g wet sand and wax for a deep shine.
  4. Thanks!I did do a search and came up with a single or two way diagrams which looks different. Once again thanks.
  5. Need help identifying wire connection. I would like to know where does the 3 wire (red, green, brown) i`m holding connect to? Are they for the tachometer or for a pyrometer gauge?
  6. The color sure is different, similar to the the mustang/drift car.The color stands out to much for my taste. GLW the project.
  7. What color is that? Hope it turns out good for you.
  8. Nice Z car dealerships you have there. That blue and white combo is ZWEET!
  9. Love the color and those rims sure looks like mines. By the way, what air dam do you have there?
  10. WOW! $1000.That`s crazy, for a set of driving lights!I actually found them under the basement of a house that i brought with a few other datsun items. The find is what got me in to Z car world. After researching the parts,i realized the beauty of the Z and few weeks later i brought my 1st Z.
  11. I actually was surprise also on how it lay out smoothly. I do`nt know how thick other rustoleum paints are,but this color sure was very thin, like water. What you see was all done with the roller method.Yes, even the engine bay.I`ll be spraying a lacquer base clear coat.So far i like the results.
  12. It`s the 1st coat using the roll-on method. I did`nt mix it because it was very thin from the beginning, just a good stir and apply. It did take much longer to dry,i guess that`s what the thinner(spirits)is for. I also did the insides of the fender and will be applying rubber undercoat. I will be hitting it with 600g after the 2nd coat. I`ve seen some good results with this method so i`m giving it a try.
  13. ^^^ I like your vinyl chip protection you have have there.Did it work??
  14. Yes,that`s the color. I`ll be adding a touch of fine glitter /flakes to the clear coat for that sparkle. I hope it turns out well? If not i`ll redo it in another color.
  15. I`ve decided to give the Z a RUSTOLEUM paint job. This is the first coat, next will be the sanding and then another coat.It will get a coat or two of clear for a nice shine. Here are some pics of my 1st rustoleum paint job. Will post pics of the outcome when done. KEEPING THE Z ALIVE!
  16. ZWEET! Nice vid, now show us a vid of your classic Z on the road.I want to hear how it pulls.
  17. ^^^ There`s something about that car that just pops out at ya...WHEELS ARE AWESOME! Very eye catching i would say.
  18. The title says ``for the 240sx`` Come on Phil we all know were that RB30 should go into.
  19. It`s a hell of a learning experience you`ve gotten out of this project....really that`s what`s it all about. I`m sure the next project will be done with ease. Keep up the good work!
  20. The fence idea would do,just try attaching metal sheets all round for privacy and a little security. Another thing on security, remember there`s nothing impossible for a thief to get to, but we can make it hell for them!
  21. The ``DATSUN`` lettering should be in black. Looks good!
  22. I like what was done on the top fenders.
