  1. The brand name Megan just isn't synonymous with the word quality, despite how they're fairing for the handful Z guys running them. Same with the Godspeed coilovers, if they're working for you, great, but some people won't mind spending extra for a name with a better reputation. I'm sure someone will come in and chime how all cheap/mid-grade coilovers are made in the same factory and such and such, but remember Stance sells coilovers in different trims than just street and track versions.
  2. You have a ridiculously boss fleet of cars. The badassery of the Camaro goes without saying, but I really like the ol' Celica too.
  3. I might have to try the zombie look when I'm back in the States until one day I when I can't do anything else but finally paint the car. If you think your's is trashy, take a look at my sig
  4. Hmmm, that painted headlight bucket look is actually pretty cool, wonder why no one's thought of that before.
  5. Same here, the AI is ruthless, I'm constantly checking my corners before diving into an apex if I know someone's hot on tails. They won't hesitate to send you spinning off or shoving their way in.
  6. This game really feels like Forza 3.5, still some fun to be had. I like to progress and earn cool cars. BTW if you guys with chin spoilers on the Z, you can download headlight decals and just throw them in their spot, that's what I've done.
  7. Hrmmm, that is surprisingly better looking that I anticipated. The blank space below the lights look at bit odd, but a clean swap would look pretty cool.
  8. Looking forward to seeing some pics. What about Scarab style louvered hoods? In response to my post above, I think more people may be interested in maybe the Scarab style hoods for a cleaner look, or maybe a variation of it that has 2 rows of louvers on each side. Just throwing an idea out there, I really want some kind of lightweight vented option. Edit: Stole this picture from a FS car on here. I LOVE this hood and louvered inspection lid look. I already have louvered lids, but it'd be a dream come true to have a louvered lightweight hood.
  9. Hey guys, got a couple of requests, I found these on Yahoo Auctions Japan since I'm stationed over here and wanted to know if you guys could reproduce these: This one should be a easy, but is weirdly very hard to find. A FRP or CF 280Z hood for those of us (including myself) would like to have the hood vents. YAJ frp 280z vented hood Then to accompany that hood, FRP or CF vents that are of a different style the OEM vents. YAJ frp hood vents And lastly, vented inspection lids that're different from the louvered one's I've seen. I think these are definitely a nice addition. Yep you guessed it, YAJ frp vented inspection lids
  10. Those are the lug nuts I have in neo-chrome on my FD. The 2 piece design is great if you're looking to not scratch your wheels or the lug nuts. I highly recommend them if you can afford to spare the cash.
  11. Before you place an order, do your wheels actually need tuner lugs, or can they use regular sized lugs without damaging the wheel? I've noticed sometimes the tuner lugs have smaller contact paths and a sharper taper. If you're looking for the extended lug look, there's one's out there that don't have such a sharp taper and fit like stock. It'll be a bad deal if your wheel require the bigger lugs and you end up with the skinnier tuner lugs. When I was still drifting, I had to used a set of Volk lug nuts (which were bigger) to hold the OEM Supra MKIV wheels I had, then the skinny Titek lug's for my Volk's that needed tuner lugs.
  12. Ah I think you understood me wrong, the lug nuts themselves don't break or wear, it's the "key" that goes over them since you can't use a traditional 6 sided socket. Like so: Gorilla also makes tuner lug nuts using the same design, I don't know if those have issues with their keys though.
  13. That's sort of up to you, the tuner lug nuts can be bought at Autozone for pretty cheap and they come with keys. The Muteki's use the same design. You can buy replacement keys from Discount Tire for somewhere between $10-$25, I don't remember the exact price. It's not like the key break straight away though, they just wear over time. I bought these Titek's since Muteki's keys weren't very good a being a key seeing how easy they were to get. Other than the key failures, the autozone one's work fine as lug nuts go.
  14. I had my problems taking them off, wether it was over torquing (insert Discount Tire techs) or just gradual usage, they all cracked or "bored" out so the teeth didn't grab anymore. There's other tuner lugs out there that are extended versions and use 6 sized sockets.
  15. I realize why they're small, I had Volks that would only fit tuner lugs. Those keys just wore out over time, that was back in my drifting days so they saw a lot of usage and I wasn't the only one having issues. I ended up just going with Titek's tuner lugs and never had a problem since they didn't use a key. Less hassle IMHO.
  16. The only thing I don't like about those Muteki's is the lug nuts key. Not only is it useless at being a key seeing as you can get them easily from Autozone and Discount Tire, but I've seen quite a few times the sockets walls would expand or crack leaving you with once again, a worthless key and lug nuts you can't get off.
  17. Out of my experiences, even the expensive red Ray's Volks lug nuts have chipping/rubbing problems if you're not super super careful with them. During my splurging period with my RX7 I bought a set of neo-chrome Project Kics lug nuts and they haven't chipped at all, even when being torques and taken off, I was pretty surprised. But for the price they damn well have performed that well even though the Volk lug nuts let me down in that same department. The cheap Muteki lug nuts also chip, as well as the superlight Titek ones. The only thing I could possibly suggest is putting electrical tape over your lug nuts when installing or removing, or use a plastic bag in your socket.
  18. wassup man im chee, the guy you bought the z from. i see you'ved put some nice wheels and nice air dam and flares on it. ive now bought another 240z and really regret selling that one to you, anyways good luck with the z and have fun with it

  19. I would think your BMC would be good. I have a DEI blanket on my turbo, you can touch it after running the car and still have your fingertips intact.
  20. Sorry this is the best I've got right now, I bet it would tuck a bit better if I had coilovers and the ability to add some camber, but the bamf flares should work just fine. If I remember I'll try to grab a better angle when I get the chance.
  21. Don't believe I do. Honestly it came with the car when I bought, never had any running issues, so going by the if it ain't broke don't fix it saying, I've only messed with the "controller" to see what all it reads and what settings it changes.
  22. Sigh. Sad to be posting this, I might not get to drive it again for 2 years since I'm getting stationed in Japan and through some hard choices, decided to leave the Z behind
  23. 15x8 -26 15x10 -26 225/50/15 all around. No markings at all on the wheels, so not sure what brand, but look to be Enkei 92's? ZG flares aren't wide enough, got BAMF flares waiting for install one day.
  24. Yup I was pretty surprised. Although unfortunately I'm pretty sure it might leak again, my bolt holes were pretty concaved in on the holes that didn't have the brace support. Tried my best to flatten them out, but I think I almost did more harm than good, and I'm on a tight time schedule. Oh well. Maybe engine swap in my future anyways.
  25. I was actually able to slide it out without even removing the oil pick up, lucky me! Now I'm taking a little break to do some research, I've been a victim of the idiot previous owner over torquing and warped oil pan syndrome.
