  1. I'll hang onto those Wat's if they need a good home Honestly I think they'd be too big for me too, but damn if I wouldn't try. I couldn't even fit 15x10 -25 under regular flares, but I have some BAMF flares on deck. I think the widest 15in tires I saw when I was shopping for a set to match my wheels were 235 Toyo R888's.
  2. That's awesome news! I'm very much interested in the regular style vented 280 hood.
  3. I looked on their website and I could only find pictures of it, no real mention of it. I'll have to take a look, but so far the only place I've seen that sells it is on Yahoo Auction Japan, but I'm pretty sure shipping would be KILLER. If I can't find someone who makes them in the States, I'll buy one while I'm here in Japan so it can get shipped back for free when I end up back in the States one day.
  4. Slightly besides the point, but is anyone making the vented 280z hoods in fiberglass? I realize I could measure and cut, but I don't want to gamble.
  5. Oh nice, I had no idea they made an adapter like that. I might have to check that out.
  6. Love how you go from talking about having too many toys, to playing another toy right at the end lol.
  7. How's that GTX so far? I'm contemplating putting one together for my L28.
  8. Thanks Six_Shooter for the sounds clip, I'm contemplating re-doing my exhaust and I would love to hear more people's set ups and what mufflers and resonators everyone is using.
  9. I've read that also, it's not that I'd rather not get it professionally re-balanced, it's just the turn around time I wouldn't be to afford to take forever.
  10. That was the plan, I need to do some reading on the process of changing the head gasket, I'm wondering if I can get away without rebalancing the turbo if I'm just changing the seals and I use paint marker to lightly mark where everything lines up together.
  11. Bump from the grave. So long story short, I'm stationed in Japan, Z is back in Texas, I may plan some leave some time soon to go back and get the Z running good. Before I left, I attempted to fix the oil leak by changing the oil pan gasket and it turned out to an epic fail, the oil pan bolt holes were extremely dimpled from the previous owners over torquing them. Thanks for another screw up! Anyways, when I pulled the pan off, I noticed a greenish tinge to the oil, that's gotta be coolant right which in turn is a leak in the headgasket right? So I have a possible blown turbo oil seal, and a bad headgasket. Do you guys concur?
  12. Ridiculously smooth looking overall, that's one of the most tasteful and profrssional custom dashes I've seen.
  13. Yes, I'm pretty sure fatter part is towards the front.
  14. Wish I had a better quality picture, it's a pretty killer knob. It's the Big Type R made my TWM Performance. Weighs 600 grams, comes in 9 different finishes. Kind of pricey, around $150 depending on finish, but it's really high quality. Doesn't get hot in the sun, doesn't get cold, won't even get scratched or scuffed. I'm getting another for my FD sooner or later. Link for those who may be interested. TWM Performance BIg Type R
  15. He has some other cool looking products, I kinda like that carbon fiber Rays wheel too.
  16. Damn, that gives me such bad, money consuming ideas. Especially since I saw a complete 20B with transmission for sale for around $500 IIRC a couple months back.
  17. Also can you check out the quality of their hoods too?
  18. I won't knock people who live for fake wheels, but don't you guys feel...well anything when someone with the real deal shows up next your fake, copy-cat, no shame from exploiting someone else's hard work and originality wheels? I just find it disgusting that a company like they can thrive off of BLATANT copies of great wheels other companies put a lot of money, research and manufacturing into, just to be copy and pasted for half the quality and half the price. Anyways, the 532's are knock offs of Yuta's old black Hayashi's.
  19. This is good stuff, if there's any engine I'm going to swap for cost effectiveness and performance, it's from the JZ family. Can you give me info on what's needed to merge together a 1.5JZ, and say, what benefits are associated with that particular layout? I realize a simple Google search will answer all, but might as well discuss it all here!
  20. I so need to come drool over this when you get started, Chance convince you to go VH instead?
  21. Most sleeves are aluminum IIRC. Hence the demand for steel lower mounts. Anywyas the funny thing about all this is I've pretty much decided to go with Koni shocks and GC coil overs lol. So now I have the Stance adaptor sleeves and camber plates just hanging out. I may just hold onto them to see I can get another quality set of coilovers out here on Okinawa
  22. Wrong wheels guy, but easy to see why you'd make the mistake. They're called CR-01's and only come in 15's for us old school folk. Kinda bug me how companies like this just have no shame or pride in their products, just looking to make a buck.
  23. I had to bend and trim mine a tad to get to fit. But I was satisfied with the end product.
  24. Looking forward to how the CF works out for ya as I'm contemplating a CF hood with the CF vent.
