I haven't seen an equal length runner setup on a V8 either, I dont know how it would be possible with only a single carb, a dual 4 barrel and its possible. Since the original post says on a Zcar, I assume its an L6, no way are they equal length.

  6. Heh, GMs 5.0 was a 305, they also had a 307 but that would be closer to a 5.1, they hadn't had a 302 since the Z28s last seen in 69 I believe.
  7. 250 crank HP is about a bone stock cheapest crage 350 around isn't it? I seem to remember something around the 245HP mark when I fried my Pontiac 400 years ago. Subframes should help, but I'd go for a rollbar or cage regardless, but I'm anal and I road race, so I "need" it.

  13. Pin 5 is YW, I'll try a light on it, with the DVM I only saw a solid 13v or so, but I know the reaction time of the DVM may not be sufficient. If its the computer what could it be? Oh, only a million things... I feel like a retard, this is the 4th week now going on 5, oy.

  16. I dont know about the Cobra, but the T Bird lower A arms are huge, it is a fairly heavy vehicle.

    Do you mean on a V8 car or on a Z car? I dont believe I've seen an equal length intake for a 4 barrel for a Z car yet, it would look very functified if it were accomplished. With the carb in the center of the intake, and the intake reaching across the length of the L28 head, it would have very long runners in the center to achieve equal length with only one carb, and I've never seen it yet.
  18. Pin 16 shows + on RUN, I still have the fuel pump relay wired up even though I'm not using it, oh well. Someone on ZCar says this is an output, not input, I did not unhook the ECU connector to verify.
  19. I still can't imagine an 8 second car on a road course, if you can keep it stuck to the ground it will be VERY interesting to see the numbers it pulls. You should see eye to eye with Your Car is Slow
  20. Hooked it up where? Are you using the stock fuel relay/modulator setup? Or do you mean pin #9 start ign signal? I'm good there... I made sure to write down every pin and check them out. Or are you saying pin 16 (blue red/LR) gets + from the fuel relay? I wasn't sure what this was for, I can try feeding it + on RUN though... So Pin #16 should see + when IGN is ON? I will try this. Pin #5 goes to the ground side of the transistor, the + is above it, so I thought it only pulsed a ground signal - or is it a constant ground and shorts out to +, which would make zero volts???
  21. Depending on your engine of choice, it could cost alot less than that, 300 HP is nothing out of a V8. My top end ran me $2260 and made 411/385 at the wheels out of an LT1/T56, and $300 for a used set of coated 1 3/4" headers, Tunercat $89, cable $65.
